More than anything, Bob wanted to be a cowpoke. Taking pity on him, a rancher decided to hire the lad and give him a chance.
"This," he said, showing him a rope, "is a lariat. We use it to catch cows."
"I see," said Bob, trying to seem knowledgeable as he examined the lariat. "And what do you use for bait?"

I've been well. I'm busy with home schooling so I'm not around much, plus all the kooks around here get on my nerves. We are only doing a little bit of school work this week so I'm playing on the computer. Idleness is the devil's workshop, you know. :)
I haven't seen you in a coon's age so it's good to see you tonight.
To: JustAmy
So glad to hear, Amy.
Hey ... I like your LOL

Not really busy here as you can see. We're eating with friends so I don't have to do much. I'm taking squash muffins, blueberry salad and pecan pie. What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Will you be with your family?
How is your beautiful mother? Some day, you'll have to post that wonderful picture of your dad when he was a little boy, running through the streets. I loved that picture.
To: SpookBrat
Hey Spooky, you are making me hungry. Mmmmmm mmmmmm!
Thanks so much for your kind comments. I'll find out tomorrow what I'm going to do for Thanksgiving, I'm just glad we're having a break during the busy week.

I've been around most nights for a little while, provided my system is working OK. I don't have enough time to reply to all the folks who post to me, though!

No, it's an animated LOL. I see -- sort of like a theatrical, exaggerated laugh?

A Texas rancher namd George decided to take a vacation in New York City, just to see what the big city was like. He was rather out of place among the tall buildings, and one afternoon he found himself lost among the concrete canyons of Manhattan. He decided to ask for help.
"Excuse me, sir," he said politely to a well-dressed, middle-aged man walking along the street, "but can you tell me where Times Square is at?"
The man turned up his nose, looked at him, and said, "I don't know where you are from, but here in New York we speak proper English -- you don't end a sentence with a preposition like that!"
"I'm sorry," George said, extremely embarrassed and apologetic, "Can you tell me where Times Square is at, asshole?"
