The Poetry Branch has been in limbo since the prior hostess left FreeRepublic April 15th 2003. We've since learned that said hostess has lost her posting privilege. That being the case, and Jim Robinson having given his ok, I wanted to renew the thread.

FreeRepublic is blessed with many fine poets, and we look forward to seeing their poems posted on FR once again. There were many non-poet FReepers who visited the Poetry Branch for the camaraderie; we hope they will return.

I would like to invite everyone to visit and relax at Poetry and Potpourri. Hopefully you will renew old acquaintances for chatting, sharing jokes, telling stories, posting cartoons, etc. Everyone needs a place to escape from the everyday news, make Poetry and Potpourri that place.

Can Muttly have flying horse too ?

Muttly let him run around backyard...that is, unless he's afraid of typing dogs that wear raccoonskin caps...then he/she can fly around Muttly's dirigible hangar, or maybe chase those bluejays that always peck napping Muttly's head.

Do they eat birdseed, oats, ice cream...(which I was told today is not actually supposed to have bones, for some reason), hamburgers, banannas...hey...they don't eat KIBBLE do they....I have enough competition around here as it is...well...I'm on the watch for it, anyway...

Glad they're not afraid of typing, raccoonskin cap-wearing dogs. He'll get used to the sixguns, and other Hollywood equipment I sometimes (as in always) wear. He'll get used to the other stuff too, once we get to know eachother.

I'm not sure, but I don't think flying horses live in nests. And neither do dogs - do they? What kind of doggie is PoorMuttly anyway?

What's a NASA saddle? If we get you a saddle for your flying horsie, you won't chew it up, will you?
