What’s really in your sushi? Parasites. They're common in fish, pork, produce, pets, and soil. Exposure is inevitable

That’s nice. I’ve had sushi for years, still haven’t experienced a deathbed type feeling yet.

I’ve had horse sashimi. It tastes like...well, horse. Parasites? Just say neigh!

Various parameters around freezing (don’t quote me but it is something like -10 degF for 72 hours or -40 for 24 hours ) the fish beforehand should kill the parasites. If your sushi chef ever tells you the fish was ‘never frozen’ the chef is either lying or in a restaurant to run from.

There’s a guy at the local Safeway, works in the Sushi Bar. He looks EXACTLY like Bruce Lee. It’s uncanny.

If God wanted us to eat raw fish, he would never have invented fire.

We don’t eat fish, especially raw or pork.
We’re not parting with our dogs, so we ALL (including the dogs) do a regular parasite cleanse.

Kim Chi is one of the healthiest things you can eat.

Exposure is inevitable Pretty much.
Mostly your immune system takes care of it but you might want to get a routine check up every few years.
If you have something the treatment is usually some pills for a few days.
Be glad you did not live a hundred years ago.

I eat it and everyone around me, and especially me, regrets it quite quickly.

Trader Joe’s makes a kimchi I like, not sulfurous.
Then I bought some kitchen from a Korean supermarket and learned why Koreans have a separate kimchi refrigerator. Should be separate kitchen . Or outdoor use only.

I love it. But it makes the fridge stink.
(I honestly don’t know why people will eat sauerkraut but won’t eat Kim Chi.)

Whatever doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.
People try to go so far out of their way to avoid germs they don’t let their immune systems fully develop.
