That’s nice. I’ve had sushi for years, still haven’t experienced a deathbed type feeling yet.
Two things I never eat: sushi and kim chee
I’ve had horse sashimi. It tastes like...well, horse. Parasites? Just say neigh!
Various parameters around freezing (don’t quote me but it is something like -10 degF for 72 hours or -40 for 24 hours ) the fish beforehand should kill the parasites. If your sushi chef ever tells you the fish was ‘never frozen’ the chef is either lying or in a restaurant to run from.
There’s a guy at the local Safeway, works in the Sushi Bar. He looks EXACTLY like Bruce Lee. It’s uncanny.
“you forgot to cook this”
If God wanted us to eat raw fish, he would never have invented fire.
We don’t eat fish, especially raw or pork.
We’re not parting with our dogs, so we ALL (including the dogs) do a regular parasite cleanse.
Pretty much.
Mostly your immune system takes care of it but you might want to get a routine check up every few years.
If you have something the treatment is usually some pills for a few days.
Be glad you did not live a hundred years ago.
Ivermectin
Your significant other has parasites too...
And GERMS!!
Fish heads...
Some kind of fish, I would guess.
I would check Catturd out for parasites, though.
One day years ago i was skipping through a GQ magazine at the library when i came across an article titled something like “The day i pulled a 60 foot monster out of my ass”
that was the day i told myself to never eat sushi...
Bait.
Please check your state food handling laws regarding handling “raw” fish. The seafood has to be frozen at a certain freezing temp for a predetermined time in hours. Either very, very low temp for about 15 hrs or at freezing temp for a longer period of time. That will kill parasites if present. Done before it is handled and served.
Check the food handling laws and make sure the manager of the restaurant knows how to buy untainted fish .
FYI
Nothing.
I don’t eat bait.

Just use ivermectin instead of cream cheese in your rolls and you’ll be just fine.
I love kimchi, but a lot of it is Vegan these days. So I just add some Anchovy paste.
