On Sept. 27, US Rep. Majorie Taylor-Greene warned about the ramifications of a strike in a tweet. Rep. Greene claims, “It’s very important to understand how critical this is given that America is now in a $36 billion dollar food trade deficit for the first time in our nation’s history.

Also, the Biden-Harris administration and congressional out-of-control spending have driven inflation so high that many Americans can’t afford quality of life.

I think this situation is serious and, depending on whether they strike and how long it lasts, could be a crisis going into the election, holidays, and winter.

“It would go a long way toward rewarding skills according to individual contribution and toward developing, marketing, and rewarding higher capabilities”...

A nice sentiment there but with the current DEI requirements that’s just going nowhere.

It's not a sentiment, it is citing LAWS of economics. Any union marketing a cohort of skilled workers in a market among competing unions MUST make the most of each or it won't stay in business. DEI would be toast.

Fire every last one and hire non-union worker. What they’re doing at this particular time is despicable.

The only bright star in this is it is happening on Kamala’s watch. Neither she nor Biden stepped up to stop it. It is going to hurt everyone so hopefully a few remember it in the voting booth.

“Are there any laws that prevent non-union workers from filling these positions?”

Live in a right to work state... no problem.

Most U.S. ports are inefficient because they’re old. The most efficient ports are overseas because they’re new and designed to be efficient.

The “What is going on with shipping” YouTube channel is very informative.

Do you know if these ports are in right-to-work states?

Yes I get all that - on the same page :)

But - I surmise that the Laws of Economics are not hard science as they are subject to political whims.

Right now - for many - DEI is more important than food.

Governments can violate the laws, but the facts of their operation remain, to which they too are subject. Consider the USSR.

“Do you know if these ports are in right-to-work states?”

Virginia is a right-to-work state and the port in Hampton Roads is not on the strike “list” or graphics displayed. Virginia ports in Hampton are also rated in the top 10 of most efficient ports in the U.S., if there is a union strike in Virginia it’s those individuals who chose to be union members and the rest of the workers are working... I assume that’s the case.

There are companies in Virginia and I know one local Electrical Company who all the employees are IBEW... by choice or peer pressure, I don’t know... but the tee-shirts sure look pretty.

I designed a robot, that I believe is capable of replacing a Genovese family no-show goon.

I believe the robot can perform the task and even cut the current rate of $50/h by half, but there are still some political problems to sort out.

They can’t stop it. Many operate heavy equipment now.....it’s not like they love the physical part...they’ll have to learn new skills.

Harold Daggett will be lucky t9o live much longer.

The Deep state arranged to off Trump, 3m times and is still at it.

What makes Dagget think that he won’t be disappeared in some horrific accident? Things are not like they used to be in the new transformed America. You piss off the wrong government People and your life gets shortened.Something that both Trump and now Mayor Adams of NYC have had realized.
