VANITY: How to wake up the apathetic

Some in my family are "normies" who just don't have the energy to care about what they call "politics". They believe the government is corrupt but think there's nothing we can do - no good options - so they just want to ignore it and "remain sane". Basically they are black-pilled, and they say most people are the same way.

How do we reach these people? This is what I'd like to say to them, if there was a way to get them to listen. Can somebody help me out here?

We were not vigilant enough to maintain and keep the freedom we received. It’s a stinky political world right now, but as tempting as it is to just hold our noses and ignore it, unless each one of us cares enough to turn this around, this is a very small glimpse of the government we might pass on to our children:

Passing a law that targets one person.

Giving a ticket to the guy going 76mph on the interstate when everyone else is going 90.

Planting fake evidence against whoever goes against a political agenda.

Jailing political prisoners indefinitely without charging them with crimes.

Torturing those political prisoners.

Spying on everybody but especially judges and lawmakers.

Keeping sex crimes unprosecuted so perpetrators can be blackmailed.

Law enforcement getting rid of “no trespassing” signs and barriers, guiding people into a secretly-restricted area, and then calling them terrorists and giving them jail time and fines.

Firing rubber bullets and teargas at peaceful protesters after a year of letting arsonists, brick throwers, sucker-punchers, and looters off scot-free.

Law enforcement busing in agitators to frame peaceful protestors; agitators fist-bumping law enforcement when violence is achieved.

The leader who refused 20,000 National Guardsmen to prevent “an insurrection” holding herself off-limits to Congressional investigation about her role.

Congressional investigators all hand-picked by that leader hiding evidence disproving their accusations toward her political rivals and holding televised hearings where they tell lies unchecked.

Requiring people to submit to scientific experiments that will kill them and their children.

Having weapons that can undetectably assassinate any person any time.

Having weapons that can brainwash psychologically vulnerable people and use them to commit any atrocity on demand.

Having weapons that can set fires and trigger earthquakes at any time and any place.

Bureaucrats who break every law to target a political enemy – and are then protected by the “Department of Justice”.

Trials that violate evidentiary standards.

Judges and prosecutors who get rich and famous by targeting a political figure.

Juries who lie about their biases so they can punish their political enemies.

Changing a law to get rid of the statute of limitations temporarily so that one man can be bankrupted for defending himself against a 30-year-old rape allegation whose “victim” is caught red-handed lying about the dress she supposedly wore – the only actual evidence even claimed in the case.

A President taking bribes from nearly all the country’s enemies.

Taxpayers forced to pay the President’s money-laundering nation to support the war that erupts when another country finds our CIA creating bioweapons directed toward them.

Staging color revolutions all over the world and in our own country to insure massive worldwide bloodshed.

Censoring factual content on social media and “news”.

Allowing and protecting the abuse, selling, and killing of adult and child sex slaves.

Arming drug cartels.

Passing so many laws and regulations that nobody can possibly be innocent of them all.

Deliberately putting human toxins in food, air, and mosquitos.

Doing the bidding of those planning the extermination of 80% of the world’s people.

Banning home gardens

Banning vehicles that we can afford and that can safely get us to work and back. Rigging “scientific studies” to call safe, effective treatments dangerous, to keep hundreds of thousands of sick people from being saved.

Prosecuting anyone who holds that our own laws governing election safeguards should be obeyed

Deliberately leaving our border unprotected so that any terrorist and any disease carrier can walk in and be received with open arms.

Good points, and guilty as charged. I can find things on Amazon that I can’t find locally or even sometimes online elsewhere. I don’t do Facebook except Marketplace which is how I can get used stuff at an affordable price.

To give up on that would mean I need to live without some “stuff”. Which is probably what I should do anyway.

My sister is off of FB. Her husband drives for FedEx.

The rifts between me and the people in my life leave me depressed. I lost my husband a year ago but he had suffered from dementia for about 8 years before that, so I’ve not had a close friend for a long time. Figuring out ways to try to improve my home or surprise and play with the grandkids has been a way to find something I can do now that it seems nobody can actually discuss things.

I love my family. We used to all be close but now the political divisions leave us unable to talk about much except pleasantries. It’s the opposite of “There’s a Quiet Understanding” - more like “There’s a loud misunderstanding when we’re not gathered in the Spirit...”

Somehow I need to come to enough peace over the world falling apart, that I can meet them where they’re at so we once again care about the same things and can hear each other.

I do love them.

It hurts me to see them whistling past the graveyard. It hurts that we who used to be able to talk about anything and enjoy debating issues can’t do any of that. We try very hard to keep from saying anything we actually think, unless it is reminiscing about old times or talking about what the kids are up to.

The more time we are together, the more glaring the shallowness of the relationship is.

A bumpersticker is a great idea!

Wish I could condense things more. Maybe if I headed over to the Q thread and found a good meme to put on a bumper sticker...

Do you have any ideas what kind of bumpersticker might reach a normie?

I loved the “I did that” stickers on the gas pumps.

My daughter said there are quite a few people in her town flying American flags upside-down. She was asking what it means and it gave us a chance to talk briefly about what is behind it. I think seeing other people have the same concerns I do helps her to realize I’m not as fringe as she might think.

I think there is a portion of the population who would respond to a simple bumper sticker message along the lines of

‘Let’s try Trump’, or ‘Trump for Needed Change’, ‘Be Bold, Vote Trump’, ‘Stop the Slide, Vote Trump’.

You make a great point. Even if we get the apathetic to wake up, the only real way for them to affect policy is to vote. However, if voting has been compromised then even that path is blocked.

I've contributed to True The Vote who were doing good work, but now are the victims of lawfare. Other groups are trying to make cheating more difficult but they are attacked on the left as racists trying to deny voting to marginalized communities. I fear the Supremes will be no help due to the backlash from Bush v Gore.

The best ideas I have come up with are:

1) If the vote machines are hackable and/or the vote collection bins are accessible then a group of people willing to go to jail should rig the election so that a nonsense candidate like Mickey Mouse ends up winning. Rather than being caught up in controversy about rigging election so that a particular candidate wins, this will demonstrate the inherent weakness of our current system. I am not such a person, but there may be a critical mass who are

2) National weeklong or longer job walkout. Not just truckers, but every able-bodied person who doesn't like where our country is headed. Basically a yellow vest type protest until some basic sanity is written and passed into law.

It would be safer for your car's bumper if you put an anti-Biden sticker on it than one that is pro-Trump. Even a pro-RFK sticker might work to siphon libs away from Joe.

Seems like the way to get some truth on the nightly news might be to have a large protest where signs and/or interviews could at least mention some facts the “newsbabes” would never bring up on their own.

I looked at the MSNBC? clip where the newsbabe was incensed that Kash Patel talked about immediately clearing the crooks out of the bureaucracy and prosecuting those who have conspired to destroy America. It was so ironic hearing her talk about how Donald Trump would “weaponize the government to target his political opponents” I almost couldn’t stand it. Is there anybody in America who doesn’t throw up a little bit in their mouth when they see that crap?

Maybe a protest with signs talking about “Don’t Weaponize the Government” and when the media covers it they find that it’s actually about how the Deep State has already done that and continues to do it with the help of folks like that newsbabe.

In its heyday FR used to organize stuff like protests, didn’t it? Can that still be done?

I understand completely.

I learned when dealing with a bunch of (literally) demented elder relatives over the years that arguing with “crazy” is useless. While your folks are not likely demented in that way…they actually “believe” what they say. True believers are tough to change.

I agree that something short and catchy would be good. Wish I was skilled in that area.

I was thinking about something like, “What do you have to lose? Vote Trump”

I was also thinking that it would be bad news for the Deep State if untraditional allies showed up. Finding that Trump’s arrest was met by Blacks supporting him as one of them did a LOT to lift my spirits and give me hope that we can unite against the corruption. I really don’t know much about what it’s like for Blacks who feel they are targeted by law enforcement, but I obviously know that if the system is against you they can do terrible things. We’ve all seen what they’ve done to Trump.

If there could be a catchy way to note solidarity between all who are victims of the corruption, that would be great.

Seeing what happened with J6 also makes me wonder how many other groups have been infiltrated and set up. I wonder what kind of allies could be made just to fight that crime on the part of the FBI, etc.

I was just thinking along the same lines, that we really, really need to find a way to secure the election.

The idea of somebody hacking an election so clearly that there is no question that it was done is great. It’s not that they are trying to commit election fraud because they aren’t trying to get any real person elected. It would simply be exposing the vulnerability, like people who are hired to try to hack government systems so that vulnerabilities can be learned and closed.

Any legal eagles who could tell us more about the legal ramifications of such a thing? Did the guy in the GA courtroom get charged for using a pen to hack Dominion results? If not, why not, and could the same reasoning be used to justify a real-time hack just to expose a non-secure voting system when it really counts?

Job walkout is also a great idea, although with the economy as terrible as it is, there would have to be some protections built in somehow. I’m an idiot on the economy but this would be a good place for people who know about such things to air thoughts about it.

I completely agree with your every word and expression. I feel the same way. It’s extremely frustrating.

I’m afraid they are going to be rudely slapped awake to the actual reality and wish they had voted for Donald Trump.

But more and more people are waking up and that’s a good thing.

There is a time and an audience for red meat and a time and an audience in national elections where you seek the soccer moms and the unengaged, ask Reagan (aka “ronnie raygun” warmonger and WWIII right winger), he knew when to use red meat and when and how to appeal to the unengaged masses and the soccer moms.

When do you think is a time and audience for the red meat? My fear is that by the time we reach that point - if ever - everybody’s ability to think clearly will be long gone.

If I thought that there would be a time and place for stuff to get real on a million different issues - like the things I listed - I could feel a lot better about staying superficial in the meantime.

I just spoke with a family member, though, who knows what is happening is bad. But instead of being glad that we have somebody who is willing to confront all this crap she just thinks we don’t have any good candidates so just roll over and die.

These people can choose whatever they want, even if it's meaningless nothingness. As for me and my house -- which is me -- I'm choosing Trump.
