As soon as ancient human remains are excavated, archaeologists begin the work of determining a number of traits about the individual, including age, race and gender.
But a new school of thought within archaeology is pushing scientists to think twice about assigning gender to ancient human remains.
It is possible to determine whether a skeleton is from a biological male or female using objective observations based on the size and shape of the bones. Criminal forensic detectives, for example, do it frequently in their line of work.
But gender activists argue scientists cannot know how an ancient individual identified themselves.
“You might know the argument that the archaeologists who find your bones one day will assign you the same gender as you had at birth, so regardless of whether you transition, you can’t escape your assigned sex,” tweeted Canadian Master’s degree candidate Emma Palladino last week.
Palladino, who is seeking an advanced degree in archaeology, called assigning gender to an ancient human “bullshit.”
“Labelling remains ‘male’ or ‘female’ is rarely the end goal of any excavation, anyway,” wrote Palladino. “The ‘bioarchaeology of the individual’ is what we aim for, factoring in absolutely everything we discover about a person into a nuanced and open-ended biography of their life.”
She is not alone. Gender activists have formed a group called the Trans Doe Task Force to “explore ways in which current standards in forensic human identification do a disservice to people who do not clearly fit the gender binary.”
“We propose a gender-expansive approach to human identification by combing missing and unidentified databases looking for contextual clues such as decedents wearing clothing culturally coded to a gender other than their assigned sex,” the group’s mission statement reads.

It probably gets their goats that it’s easy to tell whether a skeleton over a thousand years old is male or female. Even as an undergrad working on an archaeological dig (fun way to make extra $), I could do it.
They don’t like the fact that a person’s sex is bone deep, and if you get dug up by archaeologists a thousand years from now, they will class your skeleton by your sex, not your imagined “gender”. Like everything else, it’s really all about them.
Some enterprising person should start selling stone tablets that say “I identified as male” or “I identified as female” or “I could never make up my mind as to whether I was male or female” etc. to be placed in the coffins of trans and confused individuals.
Oh FFS.
If we make gay marriage legal these people will satisfied.
Yeah, sure, have someone trying to classify the skeletal remains of an unknown missing person as “who can say?” That should help police investigations.

Worse yet, they fail to identify a missing person as a trans.
I can’t take these irrational people seriously. I doubt if they take themselves seriously.
And anyone who can make you believe anything can make you do anything.
Only a fool will fall into that trap.
We don't really know how 2+2 identifies. What if today it identifies as 5? Or two and a half? Or as pi?

When I first read about blindness and delusion in the bible, I couldn’t understand how people didn’t see what was right in front of their eyes. Now I understand.
“Gender activists” are clinically INSANE - that is, IF they actually believe the trivial tripe they are advocating. They should be locked up in a mental institution and dosed with as much lithium their wretched minds can take.
I don’t mind a database of persons not wearing gender appropriate clothing just for the heck of it. Surely that is noted now.
First, they claim they are just like everyone else and merely want to be accepted.
Then, after the slightest bit of acceptance, they are gyrating and twerking butt naked in rainbow pride parades, trying to convince us to let them inject children with hormone blockers, trying to indoctrinate elementary schoolers about homosexuality, and demanding that we cease recognizing gender differences anywhere and everywhere...even in ancient history.
A person’s sex can be determined from the bones many years afterwards. This indisputable fact of science and reality runs against what the gender hysterics are claiming, so they want to change an established fact of science.
It’ll probably happen, since more and more insane hysterics are going into science, not to further the cause of research and the discovery of the truth, but to change science into a slave of the gender fanatics.
These people are worse than the Babylonians and their crazy tower.
