Despite all the talk about disney, Hollywood, media, war, biden, putin, Rihanna, slapping, masking etc
Maybe we can have some fun today
What is the worst movie you ever watched?
I can agree some movies are so bad that they are funny, certainly you can include those too.
“We should have known because when we bought the tickets there was a sign on box office window saying “no refunds””
ROTFLOL!
Yeah, I think we did this a few weeks ago on a different thread. These two two are all that came to mind. I haven’t really seen many movies in a theater in along time, so I remember these well. Now, some great movies I found recently are The Lineup (1958) and Across The Bridge (1957). Very good copies of both are available on YouTube. Also, you can find Alfred Hitchcock’s Lifeboat for free - not to be missed.
Movie 43
The Counselor
If you followed her into the theater...it was no mistake. My wife did that to me for the Lake House! Then she insisted on buying the DVD, so I have to watch that awful movie on demand.
“Burning Man with Nicholas Cage.”
worse than “Leaving Las Vegas”?
I wasn't saying it was plagiarism per se, because a lot of movies borrow plots and tropes from other movies. The time element itself was a lot like Kubrick's "The Killing", in which the race track robbery was shown at various points out of order (and "The Killing" had similarities to "The Asphalt Jungle"). However, I do think Tarantino is basically a film nerd who is too imitative of other films and filmmakers to be truly original.
I've never seen "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern", but I would think it was derived from Hamlet?
Count Floyd: SCTV Monster Chiller Horror Theatre: Whispers of the Wolf
A small gas station in town refused to let Ben Affleck use the toilet. ROFLOL!!!
Nearly every time I go in there..I ask to use the toilet.!!!
Oh they had signs up when Ben was there...."No Toilet"
McGruber, and anything with Sarah Silverman, except “A Million Ways To Die In The West”, where she got to play herself as a Christian hating whore. She was spot on in that one.
Agreed - I haven't seen the others, but I liked The Accountant. Something appealing about a guy who is quietly very very good at what he does. I also happen to have a low-key thing for Anna Kendrick... Several of my favorite scenes are: when he first shows up at the farm house and is setting up for some target practice. Farmer says "Not on my best day..." then Ben proceeds to go 3 for 3 cold. A great "Oh s***, who is this guy?" moment. Another is when he finally kills the bad guy right in front of the farmer & wife, then smiles and waves sheepishly. Funny. As. Heck. Finally, when he takes out the assassin in Anna Kendrick's bathroom without making a sound - his being quiet and focused all through that fight just raise the hair on the back of my neck.
But doesn’t a pigeon fly by near the end or is that just urban legend?
100% agree!
“Demolition Man and Speed come to mind.”
Oh, you mean “The Bus”? That girl went on to do “The Net”! Frank Costanza made hundreds off of computers after that.
Basketball coach one?
Joe Black and
Deep Water.
Ana de Armis is not attractive and this movie was sold as some sexy thriller.
There was never any sex....
I doubt anyone here has heard of this most awful movie much less sat through it — Luther the Geek.
