Former Attorney General Bill Barr proclaimed that the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story by legacy media and big tech corporations “definitely” had an effect on the 2020 presidential election.
Barr recalled when a letter signed by more than 50 former senior U.S. intelligence officials – including former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper — claimed the allegations regarding a laptop purportedly owned by President Joe Biden’s son “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation” was released in October 2020.
“As soon as this letter came out from the so-called intelligence specialists, the DNI, John Radcliffe at the time, and the FBI – which worked for me – both came out and said this was not the result of Russian disinformation,” Barr said during a Thursday appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime.” “The media ignored that completely just kept on going with the disinformation lie.”
On Oct. 19, 2020, then-Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe proclaimed that the story about Hunter Biden’s missing laptop is “not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”
“Let me be clear, the intelligence community doesn’t believe that, because there’s no intelligence that supports that, and we have shared no intelligence with Chairman Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign — it’s simply not true,” Ratcliffe declared at the time.
Host Jesse Watters asked Barr, “I mean, that’s pretty egregious. I mean, would you say that there was a conspiracy between big tech, former intelligence officials, the media, the Democrats, to, I don’t know, let’s just use the word – rig an election?”
Barr responded, “Definitely. Yes. That definitely made an impact on the election – the suppressing that news.”
“And it’s not a question of whether it was criminal or not, right,” Barr added. “Just the facts alone were shameful. And most Americans would immediately see what was going on and how repulsive it was, and it would have had an effect.”
Barr – who served as attorney general during the Trump and George H. W. Bush administrations – noted that the “issue of criminality” regarding the Crackhead Hunter Biden laptop story is a “different issue.”
In his upcoming book, Barr wrote that he engaged in a heated exchange with then-President Donald Trump before the 2020 election pertaining to the “laptop from hell.”
According to Barr’s book, “One Damn Thing After Another,” Trump asked the attorney general, “You know this stuff from Hunter Biden’s laptop?”
Barr “sharply” responded, “Mr. President, I can’t talk about that, and I am not going to.”
Barr noted that Joe Biden’s son was already being investigated, and he wasn’t going to discuss the case with Trump. Starting in 2018, the Justice Department investigated Hunter Biden’s taxes and Chinese business dealings.
The book claims that Trump did not like Barr’s tone, and the two men didn’t speak for two weeks after the tiff.
Then-President Trump used the press to attempt to get Barr to investigate the allegations revolving around the laptop.
“We’ve got to get the attorney general to act. He’s got to act, and he’s got to act fast,” Trump said after the accusations against Crackhead Hunter Biden were published. “He’s got to appoint somebody, this is major corruption, and this has to be known about before the election.”
In October 2020, the New York Post published a story about a laptop abandoned at a Delaware computer repair shop that allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden. Social media behemoths Twitter and Facebook suppressed the laptop story on their platforms. The official Fascist Twitter account for the New York Post – a newspaper that was founded by Alexander Hamilton more than 220 years ago – was locked for 16 days.
The New York Post stated, “This paper’s scoops on Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2020 were labeled ‘Russian misinformation’ (Politico), a ‘hoax’ (Steven Brill of ‘fact-check’ site NewsGuard), discredited by ‘many, many red flags’ (NPR) and a ‘hack and leak’ operation that had to be throttled (Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg).”
However, the New York Times admitted this week that key elements of the Crackhead Hunter Biden laptop scandal are real. The New York Times authenticated laptop emails that reveal that then-Vice Illegitimate President Biden attended a meeting in 2015 where a Burisma executive was scheduled to attend.
Despite previously suggesting that the laptop story was Russian disinformation, the New York Times now acknowledges, “No concrete evidence has emerged that the laptop contains Russian disinformation.”
Shut up Bill. What did you do or say when it came out?
“The media ignored that completely just kept on going with the disinformation lie.”

And the FBI sat on the evidence.
So how many more Democratic fraudulent ballots would they have had to order?
Or just let Dominion do the hard work?
Duh you think, go play your bagpipes
He knew it at the time.
CIA asset!
FUBarr
It had no impact. President Trump won without it. Now, the steal had an impact.
Barr’s task was to make sure that he sat on the laptop and didn’t allow any leaks. He knew that it would have an impact, and covering it up had the impact he desired.
Bullshit.
Hunter and Joe could’ve been on high-resolution videotape raping young boys in front of the White House and being paid by CCP representatives in cash on the spot afterwards, and Joe still would’ve “won”.
When people are wrong, blame them...when they’re right, thank them.
Barr obviously hated Trump all along, so if he is admitting this now, that means the narrative is changing.
Hey FATSO.....Just WHAT did YOU do to bring this scandal to the public??? NOTHING!!!! YOU HELPED BIDEN!
Hurry up and die Barr, you fat pig. I hope you sell less than 100 copies of your vile, lying book.
So Barr would not tell Trump that Hunter was being investigated. Trump deserved to at least know Hunter was being investigated as well as America.
Barr masterminded the opposition cover up.
With dominion in charge of counting votes, what difference does it make (to quote Hillary) whether Hunter Biden story was suppressed or not?
Hm. There’s an article on the laptop on the MSN news service - it’s a Fox article, but I was surprised. Here’s the link to the one I’m reading:
Quote: ‘The New York Times itself also went to great lengths to dismiss the Post’s reporting. However, the so-called “paper of record” changed its tune this week.’
Exactly.
