Gay mayor Pete Buttigieg is on the warpath, and the main target in his sights in vice president Mike Pence, right behind that is the biblical model of Christianity. Buttigieg says that its time to more on from that old model, to something that is more inclusive and humane. Why? Because the bible is against the LGBTQ+P for pedophile lifestyle, and Mayor Pete is not happy with that.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Romans 1:24-27 (KJV)
What someone should tell Mayor Pete is that God did not make anyone gay, lesbian, transgender or anything such like thing. Romans clearly tells us that those things are the result of sin, calling the LGBTQ+P for pedophile lifetyle a vile affection that needs to be repented off. Yes, the bible absolutely tells the gay and transgender to come to God exactly as they are, but that after they come, God will change them into a new creature that will be quite different from the current one.

Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. He’s very old school. C’mon, go ahead and try to change His position...
Sad that so many Hoosiers fall for thist
Yes, but millions of Christians still register in and vote the Democratic ticket. They think the Dems represent “the little guy.”
Peter Fudgepacker is in for a rude shock someday.
That’s like creating god in your image.. or idolatry for short.
Agreed.
Might be, however, he is going to be burning so bad he will have little to no time to worry about anyone else’s problem in the Lake of Fire. Scripture makes clear that there will be varying degrees of punishment in hell. The “good” person, who paid his taxes, didn’t cheat on his wife, worked hard on the job, took his kids to the park and to their ball games, went to church every Sunday, BUT never gave his life to Jesus Christ will have a “lesser” degree of hell than say Hitler, Mao, cold blooded murderers, those types of people will have a million times more punishment in hell.
I don’t know why you’re bringing up straw man questions. I think a lot of Christians like to chest-thump over the horrible hell that their enemies will get, and lose sight of “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” When one is willing to let God be God and work what’s fair and equitable, one begins to enter greater and greater degrees of grace.
Or, for a kind introduction to Jesus. We do not yet see the completion of his history.
Jesus knows what we are willing to ultimately hope in, and will cause us to pass through challenges so that our hope will be sharpened.
Perhaps when it comes to “ewww” subjects like sexual perversions, Christians are willing to thunder about hellfire and brimstone but aren’t willing to get close enough to the sinner so that a great degree of the understanding of the Holy Spirit penetrates their own mind. Hellfire and brimstone are only half of God’s story and it’s not even the half He prefers. There are various reasons why, in order to relieve various personal griefs, people embraced sexual perversions. If it’s in blindness, it is readily pardonable. “If you were blind, you would have no sin, but since you say ‘I see’, your sin remains.”
Likely they have been silenced by the PC elements in different congregations.
I’m certain there has been much pressure upon them to not speak out.
Here is where the power of a revival (let us all pray for it with as much confidence as John Knox in the power of God to bring it) could add to their confidence in turn. Satan can and will harass them, but Satan will not be able to destroy them.
As I said, no where in there does it say Christ is fair to some and unfair to others. No, when He judges everyone who refused to accept His FREE offer of Grace, they will not be saved and will appear before the Great White Throne judgment after the 1,000 year Millennium reign of Christ on earth which comes after the 7 year Tribulation period. During the Tribulation, Christ will have called His bride home to Heaven and we shall all appear before the Bema Seat where we believers shall be judged for what we did AFTER we were saved. There we shall receive rewards for what we did. If we did not do anything other than believe, or did everything we did just to get pats on the back, all that will be burned up and we receive nothing. All that is discussed in 1st and 2d Corinthians. And, even there, nothing is mentioned about being "fair" to us. Again, it is up to us. Did we work after we were saved or did we do nothing or did we do stuff so that people around us could hear us brag on what I or you might have done for Christ today. That would be burned also.
To be brutally honest, I do not close my eyes at night until after I have gone to the LORD in prayer and pray for all those people who are lost. If you think I am chest thumping you are horribly wrong!! I pray for them all. I have family that simply refuses to go to Church or even wants to hear you talk to them about Christ. That bothers me greatly. So, if you took it that way, sorry, that is not what I was saying.
Amen.
What comes out when Christians actually speak can sound quite different, due to much compromise in their spiritual walk.
Breathing intense amounts of Holy Spirit is something that requires an agonizing amount of training. It’s not until you’re faced with do that or die in your soul, will you learn how to do it.
Also, we know that we won’t be sweating about hell in heaven — I’ve come to a realization that its residents are so wicked that they would rather be there, flaunt their own thing forever, and even suffer for it, than to be in heaven yielded to God. As Milton put it, better to rule in hell than serve in heaven. May God save us from the jarring, stomach turning sight of such extreme wickedness.
