November 16, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Eight months ago, the pro-life organization Live Action uploaded a three-minute video clip of a young woman giving an extraordinarily powerful testimony about being raped and becoming pregnant. Jennifer Christie explained to the Iowa legislature that she’d been brutally raped while on a business trip, her bruised body flung into a stairwell after the attack.
Despite the horrors she’d endured, she was not speaking for crime victims, she said. Rather, she was speaking for the 32,000 women who become pregnant after rape—and the 75% of those women “who give our children life.”
Christie was representing Save the One, an organization that represents people who were conceived in rape, as well as mothers—like herself—who have children conceived through sexual assault. Her son, Christie stated tearfully, is “a reminder that love is stronger than hate.” Further, she said, “Do not use me, and my rape, and my story…as a banner to hide behind and excuse the genocide of the innocent.”
The moment was powerful, and the video went viral, racking up 1.4 million views to date. Jennifer expected to receive backlash for taking a stand. All pro-life activists do. What she did not expect was the sheer viciousness and hatred unleashed on her by some on the pro-abortion side.
After the video went viral, someone sent her a video of a woman being raped. It was sent to her personal Facebook account, through a friend’s account that had been hacked. The police helpfully told her it was “probably rape porn,” but it sounded real—especially the woman’s screaming. Considering what passes for pornography these days, it very well could have been.
Jennifer flashbacked to her own trauma, threw up, and couldn’t catch her breath—just as the sender of the video intended. Someone furious that Jennifer was defending her son’s right to exist and condemning abortion as the killing of pre-born children wanted to make her suffer for her stand in the most repulsive way they could think of. In response to this, Facebook did nothing.
That was only the start. Rape videos were sent to her two more times through her professional speaker’s page. She was also sent a video of a man cutting off a woman’s breast, followed by flashing strobe lights. Christie has epilepsy—something she has discussed in articles and public speeches. Whoever sent her the video had combined horrifying sexualized violence with an attempt to trigger an epileptic attack. It worked: She had a tonic-clonic seizure as a result.
Christie now says that she was naïve not to expect these attacks—she simply did not expect this level of vitriol from the other side.
“I mean, I’m not condemning anyone,” she told me. “I’m not cruel. I’m loving my son. That’s it. I just don’t think that way. Or didn’t. I guess I do now—which is sad.”
Sadly, online sexual harassment directed at female pro-life activists is becoming a popular tactic by some abortion advocates. Laura Klassen of Choice42, who has had videos like “The Magical Birth Canal” go viral, has also been subjected to the same thing: Men have sent her photos of their genitals online, GIFs of rape porn, and pictures of violent sex acts. Some of the material she has been sent is too explicit to describe—all for taking a stand on abortion.
I could cite other examples, as well—female friends in the pro-life movement have told me that abortion supporters have even photoshopped them into explicit pictures and sent it back to them with ugly, demeaning messages. Often, they receive threats of violent assault—I was sent screenshots and had brutal messages described to me when I asked several female pro-life activists what sort of online harassment that they face.
It is an irony that some of the men claiming to be supportive of “women’s rights” respond to the suggestion by pro-life women that killing pre-born children is wrong by sending them degrading, violent sexual imagery in order to suggest that they should be attacked and demeaned for their stance. It is awful to think that young women defending the weak and the vulnerable and standing up for their own children would be subjected to sexualized attacks.
And it is incredibly sad to think that some people are so filled with hatred that they would attack a victim of rape simply because she loves her son.
It should be clear by now, even to the murdering mammas, that abortion and all its gory practices comes straight from the pits of hell.
Let us pray that the murdering mammas come tot he saving knowledge of Jesus Christ - before it’s too late for them.
It was a lonely work in the early days of pro-life...I used to take pregnant girls into my home and volunteer at a phone bank for pregnant girls to call for help...
I used to get phone calls in the middle of the night telling me things like I was “an enemy of God. God loved these babies and wanted them to come back to him and I hated the babies and was stopping them from going to Heaven” etc
This was before caller ID and before Protestants decided it was OK to bed pro-life, calling abortion a ‘Catholic issue’ and ignoring the reality of dead babies...
I was accused by ‘good Christian’ females that I wanted them to die and desert the children they already had...
It was a serious commitment and calling in the early days of the 1970s and 80s...to even work in the field it was necessary to join a catholic group...Protestants refused to help...
Ive always said that if the Protestant churches had joined hands with the Catholics years ago Roe Wade would have been overturned...
My advice to these young women is to stay away from FaceAcheBook or just not open those messages or EMail...aren’t they savvy ???
It doesn’t surprise me at all. I had a website for large families at one point, and our message board was attacked by zero population growth (ZPG) zealots. They flooded our site with vile porn including child-cannibalism and this was back in the 90s!
I’ve never considered myself sheltered or anything, but this stuff made me sick. The depravity of such people proves the reality of evil. They hate anything good and are slaves to sin and death. I’m sorry this poor woman was attacked and suffered again for her brave stance. Her reward will be (and is) great.
Roll back access to abortion ONLY in cases of 'rape and incest' and see how they respond.
Go to the national March for Life in January ... get up in front, so that you can see the "opposition". They're dead-eyed, demonic zombies. NOTHING is beneath them.
Back in the early 80’s when my roommate was showing movies of the public sexual acts of gays (in parks and recreational areas) as well as their fight to disregard Christianity’s view of their acts as unloving, they obtained our phone number and broadcasted it to their group. This was before any caller ID or computers in homes. They called and threatened us saying they knew where we lived. They attended the showings and tried to say those showed were just the prostitute gays, etc.
What a shame this didn’t come out in churches of Jesus Christ on a frequent basis so that parents could see it and know that the practice is evil. No one could convince me that this sexual act as well as fornication is what Jesus considered holy. We’ve TOTALLY gotten away from holy, and includes me at times. So many young adults live together before marriage that when a couple does marry and not live together it is odd (me included). And, to hear of one who is a virgin marrying, the gossip that they are weird anyway surfaces, not that it is holy. So, until we are bold Christians as Trump is bold with the swamp, and we will have persecution I believe for our beliefs...the downward spiral will continue rapidly.
Simply, folks like this lady are to be denied her free speech and her choice. They want us to be like them and chose Satan over God. Predicted by God by the way!!!!
Watch the evil of drugs (even ones prescribed for our comfort), homosexuality and abortion take us down. Two are already legalized and drugs are taking their position as states see a great income from the tax proceeds. Numbing ourselves of any evil and the effect these have on our spirit, soul and bodies.

Sadness is NOT the emotion that this story evokes in me. Rather, I feel RAGE.
Abortion represents everything that is wrong with our nation, culture, society, and the world itself. I realize that God can and does redeem some people out of the abortion business, but barring such supernatural works by God alone, the people who perform and promote abortions need to be removed from civilization entirely.
Why is it a federal crime to send porn through the US mail but it’s ok to send it via twitter or fb?

Meanwhile, it’s not a crime to send conservative mass mailings through the USPS, but apparently it is a crime to dissseminate conservative info on Facebooger, Twatter, Googledy-Schmoogledy (Youboob), etc.
Answer the first part of your question (yes, you can do it) ... and you’ll answer the second.
Crime? Really? People are in prison for disseminating conservative info on the named internet sites?
Funny you should say that cause when this happened we had real men who lived next door and all around us. They let it be known they were ready to assist if we had a stranger at the door!
Luckily, the complex had a real person at the entrance gate and they took license plate, car make and saw ID if you were a visitor!!
1. Track down the people sending this information and prosecute, convict and jail them (at a minimum)
2. NEVER NEVER NEVER open a video sent by anyone to you over facebook or other social media. If they want you to see it then they should post it publicly.
3. NEVER NEVER NEVER give out your personal email. That should be restricted to family and closest friends.
4. All videos etc that come to your public email should immediately go to the trash bin.
Why give anyone the opportunity to infect your computer or your mind.
In my line of work that is not an option. Have to be accessible to potential clients, and my business email address feeds in to my personal one anyway.
Are they also sending them a video of an abortion to show them what a chopped up baby looks like and the fun they have doing it?.
A child’s circumstance of conception is literally irrelevant to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
In ministry, I have championed an abused woman against an indifferent, even hostile, church hierarchy. I am thus sympathetic to a rape victim, but a woman’s suffering is absolutely no justification for murdering a pre-born (yes: not un-born) baby.
