My comments and threads are scheduled to be deleted when I am zotted in a few days. I asked for the threads to remain so material is not lost but there is not the software to do that.
If you have posted content to any of my threads that you would like to keep, please save it within the next few days so it is not lost.
This place is like the Hotel California. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.
And why are you laboring under the misapprehension that all your posts and all of the posts of people who replied to you will be deleted if you get the zot? Jim told you that would not/could not happen.

I was one of “the first 100” here, posting for years, before quite rightly zotted years ago for drunk posting incredibly inflamatory remarks. Took a few years after putting the plug back in the jug to work up the nerve to start a new account.
BZ asked Jim to leave her threads up, so that content by other FReepers wouldn’t be lost. Jim told her that he can’t delete all of her posts without deleting all the threads she started, and he said he’s not going to ask John to write a program to make that possible. Jim has given BZ 10 days, and she’s using that time to notify FReepers that if they wish to save the content they’ve contributed, they need to do it now. Some of them have put a lot of work into their research.

The only thing he said you *had* to do was to behave yourself
and quit attacking the Mods.
He said your account could stay open if you just agreed to that.
No one forces you to visit this site.
No one forces you to comment on threads.
You could accomplish exactly what you said you want
by simply agreeing and then restraining yourself.
You precious threads and comments would still be here.
You account would still be here.
All you have to do is tell Jim "I agree" and then not use it.
I bet if you asked him real nice, he might even zot this thread
