I think you intended that last post to butterdezillion, and not to yourself, yes?
Hi Lakeshark, yes to butterdezillion but she is not here and suspended as she requested .So I write to myself knowing she can read this as well as everyone else who don’t have the time to research.I never talk about people who are suspended or zotted, one of my rules. This is just a review.
Doesn’t.Here a song to the end the night.
“Breakfast in America” Written & Composed by Roger Hodgson of Supertramp
The thread is still her after the self??? zot.
Before the election about 5 or so times when I tried to post what I believed to be a crucial post, no matter what I did I couldn't get FR to let it through. I would try to post the idea repeatedly on a thread. It would not post. Then I would try to post the same idea on different threads, and the idea would not go through. Keeping the same thought I would change the wording of the post, and it wouldn't go through. I would then create my own thread with the same idea, and it was blocked. Intermittently, at the same time while this was going on, testing the situation, I would post on the same thread and other threads, and also make my own threads with different thoughts then the thought seemingly being blocked, which always would go through and be posted without any trouble at all.
It was just particular ideas that the FR mechanism would not under any condition let me post. This happened to me almost every time I felt that what I posted was very important. Again, at the same time, I could post anything else but the blocked idea on any thread, or create my own threads about any other topics without any problem at all.
I posted Jim Robinson several times about what was going on. He gave me some hints about what I could have been doing wrong, always being very nice, but they didn't seem to help. I ask how is it that an idea put forth in different wording, in all different ways is blocked, at the same time that any other post attempt or thread start up is able to take place without any problem? I really felt like my idea was purposely blocked. This was not necessarily by a member of FR, maybe by someone who had access to the site by computer shenanigans. Or it possibly could have been a mole of some type. I really don't know, but it was certainly very strange and also very frustrating. For the security of FR it should be looked into. I do, though, understand that the experiences of one seemingly lone freeper may not be enough to get the attention of Jim R. or those who run FR. I am sure that they are brought into the problems of many freepers and cannot take many things too seriously. This has not happened since the election.
My posts must be too tame.....
Sounds like maybe you were trying to post some nuttery.
What was the topic of the thread you tried to post?
No, but it rymes with tame! :o)
Any number of threads and posts. I don’t think FR is set up to screen “nuttery” before it is posted, not letting it even get posted. As you well know quite a bit of “nuttery” of all sorts and kinds does get through.
I emailed Jim R. about it several times and He didn’t say anything about “nuttery”. He tried to give me advise as how to get the posts to go through, which didn’t work, though at the same time I could freely post any other post or thread but the idea that at the particular time seemingly was being blocked.
It was before the Presidential election and extremely frustrating. Sorry, but I didn’t keep track of the ideas that were obviously being blocked by someone or something. I seem to have lots of them. The ideas that would not go through seemed to be important ideas to me at the time. It seems that they may have been as they certainly were not allowed to get into the public forum. I wonder if any other freepers ran into this problem?
By the way humblegunner, you are a bit scary and lots of people do not like you. You seem kind of fascinating to me and can be pretty funny. I hope you try to post more of your thoughts about things and less of your extreme opposition to blogs.
It doesn't mean that they have done so. You seem to be presuming that they're telling the truth, when they very well could be lying. Got it?
And your request for JimRob to author some kind of "seek and destroy" software that deletes every post you have ever made—in some kind of Soviet purge—is absolutely ridiculous. Got it?
Whatever you've posted—in the way of responses to non-deleted threads—is "on the record", essentially permanently. Got it?
Zotting simply means removing your active account, thereby ending your ability to post. It categorically does not mean going back and deleting every post you've ever made. Got it?
Now please settle down. If you don't want to post here any more, then simply stop posting. It's that simple. I'm pretty sure you'll change your mind after you calm down. JimRob—as far as I'm aware—doesn't take requests to "zot on demand".
