Ive been in New York this morning to attend a meeting organized by Dr. Ben Carson and others who invited Donald J. Trump to speak to evangelical Christian leaders from across the country. Governor Mike Huckabee was moderator and Mr. Trump answered questions on a wide range of issues.
Dr. James Dobson asked the first questionhe asked Mr. Trump what he would do concerning religious liberty issues. Mr. Trump said the number one thing he could do for religious liberty would be to appoint great Supreme Court justices and he reminded everyone that the next president could appoint up to five Supreme Court justices. That's incredibly important for the future of our nation.
Ronnie Floyd, the outgoing president of the Southern Baptist Convention, asked what he would do to address poverty, crime, and racial tensions. Mr. Trump said that he felt like the best thing he could do would be to create jobs for Americans and that would have a great impact.
David Jeremiah asked how Trump would support Israel. Mr. Trump said that Israel is our number one friend in the Middle East and that the Iran deal was a disasterhe said he would stand with Israel. Others ask good questions as well, and we prayed together for America.
This years election is critical for our nationwere at a turning point. Im not endorsing any candidates, but I am going to all 50 states holding prayer rallies with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association #DecisionAmericaTour.
Thousands in every state have come out to their capitol to stand together in prayer for their state and for the nation. Our only hope is God. Now Im on my way to Washington where I will be on Fox News On The Record with Greta Van Susteren for her 7:00 (ET) program tonight. I hope youll watch and let me know what you think.
Just as voting for Bush over Kerry was a no brainer.....and so I can say that I don’t regret by votes in ‘00 and ‘04, but today, as well as for the past 10 years or so I can say that I hold W. Bush in the deepest contempt...almost as much as I do for odungo and the Hildebeast...Bush profoundly disappointed me in his second term...with that sly, sneaky “political capitol” crap he was talking about exercising in his term. I feel he gave us odungo....and the illegal alien problem by not guarding our borders.
It was that or Al "Jazeera" Gore, so...
I would like to field this one. I enthusiastically voted for GWB. The box that he came in said he was a bona fide conservative. When the box was opened, we got another watered down Republican led by the establishment. No fight in him, almost no vetoes, and worse of all, acceptance of all criticism that was thrown in his direction. This, in turn, led to Obama’s easy election and the current state of the GOP. Did he handle 911 like a great leader? Absolutely. However, he squandered all of that good will by his tepid leadership on spending, expansion of government, turning the other cheek, prolonged war in Iraq, ...
Thanks SoFloFreeper.
Which is somewhat surprising, since last I heard Greta was a Scientologist....the same as Tom Cruise, John Travolta, etc.
This man is a COWARD for not endorsing Trump.
I’m calling him out NOW.
He *knows* that the alternative is Clinton. He knows that she’s evil and he still won’t publicly stand against that evil.
For that, I’m calling him a COWARD and a CUCK and has NO place speaking for the people of G-d.
Post 23...Great analysis. I completely agree. Many of us were fooled. As it turned out “ the apple didn’t fall far from the tree”.
My understanding is that Sarah Palin relationshio has made a big difference in her spiritual life A few trips to Alaska and an invite to join her on Samaritan Purse Trip has made a difference. She now sponsors an orphanage in Haiti.
One doesn’t have to be overt to send a clear message.
Sometimes, being covert is better because you avoid labeling yourself.
Everyone who takes liberty seriously will vote Trump. Even though Trump isn’t the perfect candidate, he is better than the alternative.
Let’s be willing to cut our fellow believers and conservatives some slack, eh? :)
With a DEMOCRAT CONGRESS what were you expecting ..????
Yeah, how did THAT work out for you?
Hard to believe I know but Ronald Reagan was responsible for deregulating TV, likely would have happened without him but maybe not so soon.
Pretty much this looks like an endorsement, even if not formal.
Cruz did not “use Christ to get votes”.
Cruz is not a phony Christian. He lives his faith. It’s just the left who hates those who live their faith out in the public arena.
Too bad you’re too ignorant to know the difference.
I am sick and tired of men behaving like wishy-washy cowards. We are at war and it’s time that good men took a stand.
Men who claim to be ‘men of G-d’ who don’t have the spines to even speak against evil are not men in my book.
Why does this offend me so? Because we are in desperate need and men who cower in PC/BS when times are desperate are cowards and not worthy to hide behind the skirts of the women who shame them.
Cucks - the lot of them. Unworthy of their very names.
Christian turnout rarely tops 25% no matter who is running. Shows how effective LBJ's threats were. I guess it also shows how weakened the pulpits are as well.
So what is Ben Carson’s status these days? Cultist? Not a cultist? Just wondering because about a year ago folks on FR were calling him a cultist.
There are plenty who will sit this one out since Cruz didn’t get there.
They have their heads up their rectum and brains on acid. Nevermind the command to “occupy”.
I take it you do speak for the people of G-d?
Funny I never got the memo....
[[Evangelist Franklin Graham, son of the famous preacher Billy Graham, has endorsed George W. Bush for president, telling a gathering of religious broadcasters that only Bush will crack down on indecency on television and radio.]]
Would you have rather he endorsed John Kerry ?
I voted for Bush too because I knew what Kerry was and still is
yep...and not one veto of the crap that congress passed that term. Either a closet liberal, a fool, or afraid of the media. Any of the three made him a terrible president
