Ive been in New York this morning to attend a meeting organized by Dr. Ben Carson and others who invited Donald J. Trump to speak to evangelical Christian leaders from across the country. Governor Mike Huckabee was moderator and Mr. Trump answered questions on a wide range of issues.
Dr. James Dobson asked the first questionhe asked Mr. Trump what he would do concerning religious liberty issues. Mr. Trump said the number one thing he could do for religious liberty would be to appoint great Supreme Court justices and he reminded everyone that the next president could appoint up to five Supreme Court justices. That's incredibly important for the future of our nation.
Ronnie Floyd, the outgoing president of the Southern Baptist Convention, asked what he would do to address poverty, crime, and racial tensions. Mr. Trump said that he felt like the best thing he could do would be to create jobs for Americans and that would have a great impact.
David Jeremiah asked how Trump would support Israel. Mr. Trump said that Israel is our number one friend in the Middle East and that the Iran deal was a disasterhe said he would stand with Israel. Others ask good questions as well, and we prayed together for America.
This years election is critical for our nationwere at a turning point. Im not endorsing any candidates, but I am going to all 50 states holding prayer rallies with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association #DecisionAmericaTour.
Thousands in every state have come out to their capitol to stand together in prayer for their state and for the nation. Our only hope is God. Now Im on my way to Washington where I will be on Fox News On The Record with Greta Van Susteren for her 7:00 (ET) program tonight. I hope youll watch and let me know what you think.
LesThes.
Ignore my posts. They aren’t for you, dearheart.
“Out of courtesy to the reader, I wont use stronger, more accurate adjectives to describe this worthless piece of milk toast.”
Cuck. The word you’re looking for is CUCK.
You read it.
And you took the time to respond.
Must’ve hit the mark.
Cuck.
Stand up or stand down and walk away. Either way, make up your mind and be a friggin’ man.
All that you said... yes.
But on this, he’s being a coward.
It is possible for a human man to be right on many things and to shrink from another.
He’s brave to a point.
But obviously not to this point.
Now I see the line when his cowardliness starts. It starts with endorsing Trump.
That line makes him a cuck. He’s either with or against evil.
He’s waffling on that fact and isn’t willing to fight against evil if it might bother his bottom line.
Again, cuck.
Got so confused by this thread that I was going to thank a Lespian Librarian Midget...
Time for bed.
LOL, you are one funny poster, Marie.
This is the first I’ve read posts by you. I don’t know how I could have missed them before : )
Your words shock tender ears; nevertheless, there is no mistaking your point!
Sleep well, FRiend.
:)
Marie,
That was not the purpose of the gathering yesterday. No one came out to support Trump because it wasn’t appropriate for the time and place. I’m not holding my breath on Franklin Graham, but it’s not for a failure of courage. He’s been burned too many times by the GOP which is why he quit the party after Ryan (AND THE GOP) gave up everything.
And that, btw, was a slap to Ryan which no one of the same prestige was able to deliver.
But Tony Perkins, Ralph Reed, and the others will probably endorse after the convention. That way it does not look like they are partisan shills for the GOP.
Trump has got to do his part, not with change of policy, but in style and tone. This is why the move to oust Corey Lewandowski for Paul Metafort is probably the smartest thing he can do right now.
He is not afraid of a backlash, Marie. Samaritan’s Purse is sponsored by Christians who look to spread the gospel and help fund the needy in different parts of the world. He showed he wasn’t afraid of a backlash when he stood up to the sellout GOPe earlier this year when everyone else was singing the praises of Ryan.
I have been a yuge Trump fan since the day he declared......June 16, 2015
I am also a volunteer for his campaign.
What I object to on this thread is the tearing down of Franklin Graham by Marie’s use of ugly, inflammatory words.
It must be something personal for her......Graham is a good man.
I regret responding to her and giving her opportunity to rachet up her vicious rhetoric
I simply couldn’t let her words against Graham stand.
Marie, I don’t have excellent recall....
...but after a good night’s sleep I do recall encountering you before.
You are now on my ‘ do not respond’ list.
As much as I....(.yes I really do) ....understand your desire for Graham to endorse.....
Graham had very encouraging words for Trump on Hannity the night before
I honestly can’t handle your type of posts......I let you push my ‘hot buttons’ and then I knee jerk respond out of anger.
I always regret afterwards.
Suffice to say, no one is going to change your opinion of Mr. Graham
And in my zeal to defend Graham from your name calling, I stepped right into the caldron of yours and others posts
Blessings to Franklin Graham and Donald Trump
They will both need the prayers of the righteous.
“...pastor or head of a non-profit...”
Thanks for the info. Makes sense. So Graham could endorse but is choosing not to.
I am curious as to why not.
This is the most important election our country has ever experienced for Christians and Jews in so far as trying to keep our western Christian Judeo values intact over the globalists and NWO atheists.
This is not the time to be undeclared. Trump has to be elected for the sake of western civilization. Western civilization is de facto Christian civilization; at this point it is highly watered down and about to become so watered down that it will disappear and become unrecognizable if Hillary gets in.
In real terms, this means that a leftist presidency results in the further unchecked spread of publicly condoned sodomy, the continued holocaust of our unborn babies sacrificed for covenience, and the spread of Islam within our borders.
Revelation 3:15-16
Trump is the only one who even has a chance at holding back the coming sharia sympathizing leftists.
Just like we regretted voting McNasty and RINO Romney, that got us DUMBO?
a little sugar on sour grapes
That too.....
And
A little reflection on hastily spoken words......
Yeah, Bush was a bit deceptive. He ordered our military to kill a few hundred thousand muslims. His bad, he should have killed millions.
Yeah, Obama ran as a muslim and got the WH.
Amen, stonehouse. It’s why I made my original post, which I stand by, it needed to be said in strong terms.
I love Mr. Trump’s “style” and “tone”. It is who he is, and “who he is” is exactly what this country needs at this time.
May he never give up that part of him to accommodate those who want words to “tickle their ears”.
God chooses our leaders. If he chooses DJT, IMO he will not only be the greatest president EVER, but will, as well, be the most interesting, cherished, and fun president (at no extra charge : ))
I didn’t know it was my job to defend him. I think he does a good job handling that himself.
Yeah but what is sad is if JFK were running today, he’d probably be the most conservative candidate.
