I am white. I was born and raised in South Carolina, a state to which my grandmothers family came in the 1600s. They owned slaves. Part of her family were Pinckneys, which means that someone in my family may have owned someone in the family of the Rev. Clementa Pinckney, who was killed in the terrorist attack on Charlestons Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church Wednesday night. Those same people who owned his ancestors were likely involved in, or at least aware of, the suppression first of the Stono rebellion in 1739 which resulted in mass executions and the placement of the severed heads of rebels on stakes on the road outside of Charleston and in the Negro Acts, a tightening of slave laws, including the outlawing of drums. And they were probably also involved later, in 1822, in suppressing the Denmark Vesey rebellion, which was centered around Emanuel. When that revolt failed, the church was burned and Vesey was executed probably to the relief of my land-holding ancestors.
There were also four white people arrested and executed for their role in Veseys plot. I cant help but think that, had there been more of them, the tragic course of South Carolinas history may have been different, and perhaps we would not have bred terrorists such as Dylann Roof, the alleged shooter.

Yeah, I didn’t realize guilt was transfered via melanin. Guess all blacks must be responsible for the thugs.
No, this was a truly insane liberal wringing his guilt-ridden hands about how he's just as guilty as the nut case who pulled the trigger.
And you and I are too.
In Dutch slave ships.
If they feel so DAM guilty, why dont they give every extra cent they dont need to the black college fund AND move into the neighborhoods and help out.
I bet EVERYTHING this guy moved to another white area in a different state. What a hypocrite.
I have had to tune this stuff out. I will not listen to it any longer.
The facts are; that without whitey what are now American Blacks would have been slaves in the Middle East where their lives would have been worth considerably less. Most male slaves in the Middle east were castrated so, offspring was unlikely.
Jeremiah Wright is a “former” muslim.

” it might explain Jeremiah Wright’s cozying up to Calypso Louie Farrakhan and traveling overseas to meet Moammar Khadafy in Libya. “
Hey thanks Mrs. S for the TV linky!
When he left the South Carolina, the avg IQ of the state increased three-fold.
This is a pure work of fiction.
All my life I grew up across the river from Mississippi and was told Mississippi is the most racist state. This author apparently wants South Carolina to take the lead.
I thought doctrines of collective responsibility and guilt went out of style when the Nazis lost WWII.
Well, it appears they are Back.
Bfl
That's the scary thing.
I know he is. But both Wright's/James Cone's "Black Liberation Theology" and Farrakhan's so-called "Nation of Islam" are communist front movements. Farrakhan's true hero is Mao tse-Tung. THAT is why they all get along so well.
Louis Farrakhan, at the Millions More Movement rally in DC, Oct 15, 2005: "...what Mao Tse Tung did was, he went to the cultural community, and they [Farrakhan spreads his arms beneficently] accepted his idea."... "Mao Tse Tung ... had a billion people whose lives he had to transform."..."the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people, and China became a world power on the base of the culture and the arts community. If we had a ministry of art and culture in every city we'd create this movement [in the U.S.]."

Re: Millions More Movement rally, Oct 15, 2005:
Unity generates power to change reality
By the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan
"The time has never been more ripe for a strategic relationship between the Black, Brown, Native American and the poor of this nation and the world."
"We need a Ministry of Defense. Our young men are born soldiers, but they are in the wrong war. They are fighting a war in the streets of America against each other, or they are fighting an unjust war overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq. We need to bring our boys home and put them into the Ministry of Defense, so we can defend our communities, rather than destroy our communities.
We need a Ministry of Art and Culture. We applaud the hip hop community, the leaders of young people all over the world, but I want the young generation of artists to know there is a bigger purpose for art and culture than popping our fingers and shaking our backsides. Mao Tse Tung, throughout his long march to conquer China, had a billion people whose lives he had to transform. Many of them were victims of opium, drugs and prostitution, like we are. But Mao Tse Tung went to the cultural community and they accepted his idea. Then, through song, dance, poetry, drama, documentaries, movies and books, the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people. China became a world power on the base of culture and the artistic community. If we had a Ministry of Art and Culture in every city, [we'd] create this movement [in the U.S.], we could say to our young people, What is the idea of the Time and are you reflecting that idea in your songs, dance and music?
We need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce. Do you think that a Millions More Movement should not be involved in the development of Africa, the Caribbean and Central America? ... we need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce that can link the struggle here with Africa and the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Amazon Book Review:
"Vastly Illuminating!" September 25, 2004
By Kat Bakhu
"I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.
This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air."

Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left -by David Horowitz
Not all dissent is equal, and Americans whose actions are calculated to give aide and comfort to the butchers who murdered 3,000 innocent people on September 11, 2001 are not patriotic at all... they are, in fact, quite the opposite.

Baltimore? That is as far as he could get? A few hundred miles? What an absolute incompetent!
It’s impossible to keep up with the insane progressive(communist) movement’s constant irrational demands!
They don’t advocate for civil tolerance or civil equality, they demand the civil majority submit to a militant and uncivil minority.
Progressives/leftists have always allied themselves with the most violent, most deviant and insane minority elements of every society, always fighting against the majority of any stable, civil society, everywhere.
I’ve got a better idea.
If he feels so guilty, he needs head on down to Charleston, and turn himself into the CPD. He can have the cell next to Roof’s.
I’m sure Gov. Haley will get him a gurney, and some blue juice.
He’s guilty of a hate crime! He said so himself. 20 years.
