Big Apple kids exposed to high levels of airborne filth and economic hardship have lower IQs that will haunt them into adulthood, according to an exhaustive, first-of-its-kind study by Columbia University.

Researchers reached the alarming conclusion by tracking the development of 276 minority children from Harlem, Washington Heights and the South Bronx for seven years — starting while their moms were pregnant.
The kids who were exposed to the most pollutants and came from the poorest families scored 6.6 points lower on the overall IQ test than others in the group. ......

Air pollution only affects minority children? Man, that white privilege really comes in handy.
Are they certain that whites are privileged, because its starting to sound like whites are a super race, immune to a the common problems that afflict lesser peoples.
I’m astounded that the target audience for this gibberish doesn’t recognize how closely it mirrors white supremacist rhetoric. No its not genetics that the Left identifies for whites doing better, but in a way it is, as the clear implication is that whites are immune to all of these problems that afflict non-whites.
IQ is hereditary. Maybe these less intelligent kids have less intelligent parents who don’t keep their children away from exposure to pollutants.
Poorer children eat more “free” government breakfast and lunch via government programs? Perhaps, government food is lowering their IQ’s?
How can this be? I thought the envirowhackjobs in the Democrat party fixed this problem!
And what was the ‘control’ group opposing this group of 22+ ‘minority’ kids? Where were they? Were they in a small geographic area, or were they dispersed.
They certainly weren’t [gasp] white, were they? That would be racisssssttttt.
Cherry-picking in initial studies is a common practice, therefore, “among children whose mothers reported greater material hardship” and not including others or any other factors there is a correlation. I would have gone to China and done a massive study.
I would bet you dollars to doughnut holes that the kids in King Kong have higher IQ scores.
