St. Louis area schools and townships are warning residents to stock up on water, food and medicine before the Mike Brown court decision.
Local officials fear a violent response to the St. Louis County Courts decision.
Over three dozen businesses were vandalized and looted during the Ferguson rioting in August.
The City of Berkeley, near Ferguson, released this statement warning residents to stock up on water, food and medicine before the verdict is announced.
*Make sure you have plenty of bottled water (a gallon per person per day), and non-perishable, easy-to-access food in case you cannot get to a local store for a few days.
PCS School in St. Louis City sent home this warning to parents. Teachers will help students catch up with their homework if parents decide to keep their kids at home following the courts decision.
Kirkwood School Superintendent Dr. Tom Williams sent a memo out to parents this week.
St. Louis County sought a federal bailout for the more than 100 businesses harmed during the Ferguson rioting and looting.

St. Louis area churches also urged people to stock up on medication, food, water, working flashlights, batteries and to keep vehicles filled with fuel in case access to basic services and necessities are interrupted due to unrest.
This would be one good day for a Purge. It sure as heck would knock the crime rate, and unemployment rate down in Ferguson for years to come.
absolutely. Crush any lawlessness.
I must have missed the part about stocking up on arms and ammunition. When they come to burn you out, are you going to pour drinking water on the fire or stop them from setting the fire?
A bad storm that keeps everyone indoors for a few days would work out well....plus everyone except the would-be looters would be prepared.
deadly force dittos
I bet so. Could be wrong but I'm thinking it won't be near as bad as anticipated. Maybe some peaceful protests but nothing like before - besides, everything's already been looted, why bother?
Hide. The Obama voters are going outside to play.
National Guard...to protect and defend...and lay waste to any and ALL law breakers
riot over..
It may just be too cold for a riot.
I would also advise all big retailers in the surrounding area to consider extra security for Black (no pun) Friday. These thugs may try to use it as an opportunity to loot.
Maybe they will announce it while the ALL Black Churches are busy praising Jesus... Yes the same all black church that supports infanticide, gay marriage and the removal of God/Christ from the classroom public square.
The best thing that could possibly happen would be for a blizzard to hit shortly before they announce the no bill.
The race agitators would not be able to bus in rioters and the locals would stay inside where it is warm.
Rioting is no fun when it is cold outside.
Yes, not much to loot. Plus the mother of the gentle giant is urging people to be peaceful....likely to have her charges dropped. Gee, do I sound jaded? lol
Heck yeah. Keep all that stuff in one place so the looters can easily find it.
When Obama first ran for office, when he spoke it was in a cordoned off area, with those attending having to go through security, and snipers on rooftops to assure safety.
What hypocrisy.
And if they decide to go ahead and lock up the officer regardless of the evidence?
Who riots then?
Most any action the local authorities take in preparing for the worst in Ferguson is probably going to fan the flames. It will fan the flames because any prudent preparation made public will appear to “tip the hand” - i.e. those who believe Wilson is guilty will take it as a sign that the fix is in. Doesn’t matter if it’s a contingent police curfew or a letter with some prepping advice.
I continue to hope for a peaceful reaction, though it seems awfully unlikely if and when Wilson is exonerated. Too many outside agitators with a vested interest in seeing a bloodbath, too much bad media coverage, and so on.
Especially that “kindergarten” teacher who threatened to assassinate Walker.
Will police walk off the job?
They ALWAYS get away with it, don’t they? Makes me so mad! Grrrrrr!
