Making controversial statements is nothing new for me. Neither is the reaction that usually follows.
But perhaps no other issue causes as much discussion, debate, and condemnation from others than when I present my position on the issue of homosexuality.
As a known Christian, I have been told that I MUST think a certain way and that I MUST believe a certain way regarding not only people who are gay, but regarding their entire lifestyle as well.

Only a moron would condemn you for going to anyone’s funeral, regardless of their lifestyle. On another note, if you really spent a lot of time in the “scene” as you call it, you should know better than most that the activities they practice are vile, some vile beyond belief. Or do you think God approves of men penetrating another man’s butt, rampant promiscuity even among “committed” couples, rimming, fisting, felching, S&M, lusting after adolescent boys and does not want them to repent? Jesus was crystal clear about what marriage is, and it’s not a relationship between same sex partners. I don’t condemn anyone to hell, that’s God’s job, but I don’t celebrate perversion.
Haha thanks! That’ll do (for now) hehe
Hey there Colonel!
We got one here (not yet Zotted) who looks to be in need of a (very attached) girlfriend.
He seems to have some matters of sexuality “confused.”
LOL I like that one better. :)
This is blog pimping, and there isn’t really a good excuse for it, but that aside, you aren’t being discerning in your understanding of the many problems with homosexuality. If something hurts a person physically, mentally, socially, and/or spiritually, then it is sin.
There is no doubt that homosexuality does that. God has revealed that homosexuality is sin, but observation also shows it to be deadly, harmful behavior.
Christianity is about the grace of God offered to those who when wrong admit and confess their sin and receive forgiveness for it. Those who try to attain God’s favorable judgment by adhering to some ‘code of ethics’ are doomed to both failure and separation from God. It’s only in forgiveness that we have any hope.
So, to attempt to explain away the harm done by homosexuality is thinking at the level of fantasy. It is also an appeal to living by a ‘code’, and with this code one pretends that a harmful behavior isn’t harmful.
“What I’m doing is just fine.” exclaims the homosexual. The facts, along with God, say otherwise. It’s like arguing that alcoholism is just fine, that no one gets hurt. But they do. The homosexual does. Others do. The relationship with God is absent due to dishonesty.
Lots of people can say all kinds of things about homosexuality, but they cannot say that it’s just another healthy, wholesome lifestyle and everyone should do it.
We got him.
(And there was much rejoicing!)
What the crap? Did you intend to post this on DU? Christians are justified in disgust and condemnation of those who sin with pride and not repentance. May I ask if you apply ‘who am I to judge?’ to sins without lobbyist groups?
Another part of the New Media silenced.
Let us all bow our heads....
As a live-and-let-live libertarian by nature, I have never seen it as my place or responsibility to call out gays on any grounds, religious or otherwise. If what they are is wrong and unacceptable in the eyes of the Lord, then that is between the gay person and the Lord.
This typifies the libertarian mindset.
As a known ChristianTime for you to re-read Matthew 7:21-23, I think. I do shudder to think just how you would interpret the word knew in verse 23, though.
I really liked the way that your very first sentence was to cast yourself in the role of the victim. I guess you really have learned something from those people that you 'hang out' with.
Addendum -
Zotted Queer Apologist Blog Pimp now most desperately in need of Butthurt consolation.
They are propagandising and recruiting children and that isn't a grounds to "call them out"??
Total Boo Chit.
You never ping us.
