Beautiful bird, and such sweet, funny personality. Big parrots worry me a little, lol, but I think Cody would be a lot less intimidating ;)

Thanks for the laughter :)

Looks like that bird needs a lot of attention. You could see the owner wishing it would get tired of it.

I guess birds like Cody are clever, but only to equal a two year old toddler.

I thought that as well... clearly a very intelligent fella, in need of a lot of intellectual stimulus.

As much as I enjoyed the video, I couldn’t help thinking he might be a good deal happier, and her too, lol, if she got up and walked around with him while she did work around the house. Treating him more like a kid, telling him names of things and such.

And wearing a more substantial shirt to hold up against his claws lol!

Still, my overall thoughts are of what a beautiful, amazing creature he is, and how blessed we are to share our lives with so many kinds of them.

I’d love to get a pet bird, but I am afraid of that bird flu thing...

Does anyone know about it?

I am thinking the bird flu thing is not 35 years old... it’s just been reported in the last 8-10 years I think.

My sister and her family own a psycho cockatoo. Years ago it picked the feathers on its chest and stomach clean so that for 20 years it has looked like a cornish game hen.

Pet birds aren’t the problem . I’ve never heard of a case involving a pet.

I have 2 pet birds myself.

She should probably get a cat.

My daughter has a mixed breed rescue she got when she got the humanitarian do-gooder syndrome. He’s a nice dog and he deserved saving, but he is the neediest, whiny dog I’ve ever seen. He cannot be away from her for more than 5 minutes.

Wow...It's hit or miss when you don't raise them yourself.

My buddy and his wife got a rescued "toy" dog. This one had to have been surrendered by someone very loving who could not care for her any more.

It is so magnificently trained it almost takes care of itself. If they miss a scheduled event the dog will react almost "patiently" while waiting for said event. It's like a " Stepford lapdog" - LOL!
