Prayer Needed Urgently
Me | Today | Me

Posted on 11/18/2013 3:22:36 PM PST by dadgum

I need prayer for a 19 y/o boy who was hit by a car yesterday and is dying from his injuries.

My life-long friend, who has always denied God, asked me for prayer, divine intervention, and a miracle.

Please also pray for my friend to let God in to her life and salvation through faith in Christ and His blood.

Thank you.

“My life-long friend, who has always denied God, asked me for prayer...”

Praise God. Apparently this friend did not truly deny God, just outwardly.

Prayers for this friend too.

God’s not a vending machine, so live or die the same point is made.

Prayers for you too.

Well, dadgum, “Dad” (God the Father) doesn’t want to “gum” anybody. He has expended great cost to recover any willing soul. It is we people (and devils) who are wishing damnations.

You may have the blessing of a witness that wins. But the win is God’s win, not your win. What you can do is pass on the message. God cements the salvation upon acceptance.

A perspective on tragedies: God lets them happen so that we can see how fragile life is. He is perfectly able to deliver from any tragedy. Tragedies don’t flummox God at all.

Some people have great difficulties with God, but their unbelief is not truly total. God can fan those flickering sparks into a full flame at the right time.

No, the boy is not her son.

Quit it.

I was juggling a cell call to two different prayer chains while I was typing the post.

Thank you. I understand the big picture.

There are two missions right now: pray for the boy and his family; and, pray for my friend that God would use this to His glory and no matter the outcome, that my friend would answer His call to her for her salvation.

May HIS perfect will be in HIS plans on allowing the youngster a healthy full life, and the dad seeing the power of a living God.

It may seem trite to rehearse the big picture, but all too many people have an idea of a God who is frowning in a corner and throwing dice to see who He is reluctantly going to let be lucky.

When rather, He is insisting on blessing a sad humanity which is all too busily engaged in refusing the blessings (due to that dip into the devil that dates from the Garden). Sometimes it needs most of a lifetime of suffering to learn blessedness (but when the lesson is learned, the result will be extraordinarily stunning).

Sometimes shake-ups need to happen in this picture. And so God arranges them. We see our nearness to eternity in such moments.

May God’s Love be felt by your friend and her son. May they both find Peace and Strength through Him at this time and beyond. May His Healing Hand be with them.

Thanks pax...

My prayers are with him and your friend in this dark hour. Life is always the Lord’s to take, but I pray he is able to recover and continue his life. 19 is too young.
Such a nice prayer; I'd like to use it too. God be with you all..

Lord, send deliverance to this family’s soul and bodies. Bring them safely into Your kingdom. In the name of Jesus the Christ.

Romans 5:10.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Life is but a brief candle. If you have the favor of God through His Son’s sacrifice, you need not fear a walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Either you shall return as the Lord has a purpose for you, or you shall enter the kingdom of wonder beyond all imagination.

Yes... the one two punch of the Cross and the Resurrection. The Cross gets the sins forgiven. The Resurrection achieves the hyperniken victory.
