Erasing history in Egypt

Guy Bechor reports that Egypt is in the process of destroying all remnants of its ancient, non-Muslim cultures.

It was barely mentioned in the Israeli and global media, but the following event pertains to the whole of Western civilization: Last Saturday, violent groups of Islamic-Salafi radicals burned the famous scientific institute established by Napoleon in Egypt after its first encounter with the West. Some historians consider it the start of modern times in the Middle East.

The site, L’Institut d’Egypte, held some 200,000 original and rare books, exhibits, maps, archeological findings and studies from Egypt and the entire Middle East, based on the work of generations of western researchers. Most of the artifacts were lost forever, burned or looted.

The pyramids are non-representational—they aren’t an image of anyone or anything—so they might be spared. Or maybe just have phrases from the Koran carved into them.

Ironic that there was such resentment about foreign museums getting some of that stuff, and such insistence that it should be returned to the real owners—who will now proceed to destroy all of it.

They want all of "their" stuff back so they can destroy it. Same reason they demand Jerusalem; same reason they're movin' in on the West at the speed of Barak (i.e. lightning).

Islam exist and feeds off anger and hate. For the moment they will channel this hate internally and destroy their own history and infrastructure. Once this is over and the people have nothing left, no sense of history and no food that energy, as evil as it is, will be consolidated into the new caliphate and then released upon the world.

No matter how hard we try to avoid war, it is coming, the arab "spring" is just the start.

Notice the mullahas are not protesting Western inventions such as electricity. If they really want to go back to the seventh century they should go back to actually living the way people did back then—no electricity, no cars, no refrigeration, no modern medicine, just lots of flies, hunger and dust.
