As we enter the GOP primary season, I'm starting to notice more and more an annoying trend here in FR. It seems as though everytime there's an article, or someone posts a comment about Romney, either pro or con, it nearly always devolves into an extended, and acrimonious discussion about the Mormon faith. Those who defend it, and those who, for whatever reasons, can't abide it, both sides seem determined to wage an "end of times" batte on all the FR threads. Frankly, I'm tired of it, and just wish it would stop. I think that probably 99% of others here feel the same way.

Indeed. I first found out about FR by watching coverage of the March for Justice on C-SPAN. Reading the commentary here help me cut through the MSM pro-Clinton propaganda to help get the facts. There were kooks, of course, but mostly they were held down to a dull roar - then shown the door if they wouldn't behave.
You look at a site like RedStae, where Senators, and presidential candidates, post their comments...could that ever happen here?..nah...
It could, of course, but the impetus has to come from the management. Unfortunately, there's a lot of water under the bridge to be undone to recover FR's earlier reputation. Difficult, but not impossible. Might help with the fundraising as well; the last FReepathon took quite a while to reach its goal.

I have to laugh at the few people who continue to use the services of FR while boasting that they refuse to pay their fair share unless their right to free speech overrides the same right of others. How patriotic.

As I look at the MORMON religious organization, the HELPING of Jesus in His messianic work is what I believe will constitute a make-or-break aspect of how Judgment Day will begin to be sorted out as well.
