Glenn Beck: The New LDS Apologist?
Art Vanick ^

Posted on 10/04/2010 1:11:50 PM PDT by Amerisrael

"This is weird. Glenn Beck, who became a Mormon a few years back, is now using his program to promote Mormon archaeology. If you click on these links you can view it. He also has a conspiracy theory about how science, government, commerce, and religion, not in the least, the Smithsonian Institute, purposefully altered history. My good friend Kurt Van Gorden sent me the links below, as well as the descriptions of what he is saying in the videos.

In the first video, about half way through, I about fell out of my chair when Beck referenced Adair’s History of the American Indians ( imagine! ) as proof of similarity between Native American ceremonies and Israelites. He forgot to mention that it predates the BOM by several decades (It was written arounde 1765!). He then ties the Egyptian pyramid math to the Indian mounds (only FARMS and the Maxwell Institute have ventured in this arena, which instantly identified his sources for me). Then in the second video, he uses the fraudulent Newark Stone and the fraudulent Bat Creek stone Hebrew inscriptions as proof of Hebrew among the Indians."

*** My disdain is against mormonISM not mormons.***

I believe you believe that, but I gave my opinion of that farther up on these threads, but don't expect you to find it or challenge you too... its my opinion of those that say what you have just said.

I have disdain for no one except muslims, because they want to kill my children and grandchildren. Freedom of religion is free to all in this country...I respect the Hindu, Buddhist, or others who are on a different path....its just that they have not met Jesus yet....I will bad mouth only those that want to chop off the head of those I love...

I think part of the goal is to bring Glenn Beck back to Christianity, do you share that goal, or at least approve of it?

You're nuts...see ya.

Did I make an ass of myself? In whose opinion?

You REALLY don't want to pose that question to the other FReepers on this thread...and yes, I'm judging you...just the way you have been judging every single FReeper who doesn't agree with you.

It would seem to me that some posters on this thread are more concerned about the fallacies of “Mormonism” than they are with the True Gospel of Jesus Christ

Not THAT crap again....The "True Gospel of Jesus Christ" has been in the Christian Church for 2000 continuous years

Oh Jeez

America needs a leader who isn’t afraid of anything.

I agree, but a alcoholic who has substituted mormonism as his drug of choice is NOT that leader, and there won't be a "mormon on a white horse galloping in to "save the Constitution".

Then I hope that Americans are ready for an adult and are ready for hard news."

Revelation 13:3-10

 3I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed And the whole earth (L)was amazed and followed after the beast;

4they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?"

5There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.

6And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is,)those who dwell in heaven.

7It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.

8All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.

9If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

 10If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes;

if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed

Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.

SVCW: Never said to forget anything Beck has said, the question was “Is Beck becoming an lds apologist” - I said yes.

LVR: Let’s start over again, where’s the proof?

You have offered none but rather pointed to other posters posts, where is yours?

“It would seem to me that some posters on this thread are more concerned about the fallacies of “Mormonism” than they are with the True Gospel of Jesus Christ and how Islam will impact that in the near future.”

Monkey Face, I am saying I AM concerned with the cultic heresy of mormonism BECAUSE of the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am also concerned with Islam.

Catholics of the Mel Gibson stripe, and a host of other unsavory "christian" cults, often no better than muslims and often linking arms with the muslims.

Just crawling thru this thread now ...thought you might like to know Hardraade, that what you stated above is exactly what the liberals are saying about all Christians and using it as cannon fodder against republicans and conservatives in general...it's their punchline....You're not drinking their kool-aid are you? ....anyway you might want to use something else to make your statement. It sounds too much like Amanpour...she likes using it too.

Too many think they know who is going to hell and who isn’t...be careful.

Likewise...

Too many think they are going to the ONLY correct church, and who isn’t...be careful.

I don’t care who agrees with me or who doesn’t. The Absolute Truth is still the Absolute Truth, and no man or woman can change that.

If you think I’ve been judgemental, perhaps it is like beauty: in the eye of the Beholder.

Who in the world beat you up so badly about your religious beliefs that you have to attack every man woman or child who thinks differently from you?

No, don’t bother to answer. It’s plain that you prefer to try and insult those who are different than to try and love them into seeing your way of thinking.

Me? I choose to love you regardless of what you have in your heart and mind about me. Say what you will: You are still a FRiend I value.

Beck is mealy a person that happens to be Mormon.

This thread says no, it is about Beck weaving his cult teachings into his history, and his religious preachings.

I know that he talked about his Mormonism on his CNN show, and from people say, he does it now.

Sadly you have missed my point.

I don’t listen to stuff I don’t want to, and I don’t listen to stuff I disagree with if I don’t want to.

I listen to Glen right or wrong. How would I ever know he was wrong if I didn’t listen to him? How would I know I agree with him on most things if I didn’t listen to him and not just change the channel.

But I also have no problem saying I disagree with Glen on an issue. ANY issue it might be. Regardless of whether you or any other person would like me to not bring up a sacred cow issue you disagree with me about.

There is nothing wrong with saying I think someone’s wrong when I believe they are wrong. It isn’t automatically hateful, if the criticism is offered honestly and respectfully (and you and I may differ on what that is) it’s just one person being honest about what they believe.

And I will keep doing this too whether you like it or not. Like glen, I am not trying to hide who I am, I am not trying to put on a face and hide any secret intentions or hold back my beliefs because of whatever reason it might be. You don’t conduct yourself like that on this board with your opinions, I certainly won’t either.
