Glenn Beck: The New LDS Apologist?
Art Vanick ^

Posted on 10/04/2010 1:11:50 PM PDT by Amerisrael

"This is weird. Glenn Beck, who became a Mormon a few years back, is now using his program to promote Mormon archaeology. If you click on these links you can view it. He also has a conspiracy theory about how science, government, commerce, and religion, not in the least, the Smithsonian Institute, purposefully altered history. My good friend Kurt Van Gorden sent me the links below, as well as the descriptions of what he is saying in the videos.

In the first video, about half way through, I about fell out of my chair when Beck referenced Adair’s History of the American Indians ( imagine! ) as proof of similarity between Native American ceremonies and Israelites. He forgot to mention that it predates the BOM by several decades (It was written arounde 1765!). He then ties the Egyptian pyramid math to the Indian mounds (only FARMS and the Maxwell Institute have ventured in this arena, which instantly identified his sources for me). Then in the second video, he uses the fraudulent Newark Stone and the fraudulent Bat Creek stone Hebrew inscriptions as proof of Hebrew among the Indians."

Glenn Beck: The New LDS Apologist?

We sure hope so!

The ones we have now are not doing a very good job; what with the truth being exposed on the Internet all the time!

--MormonDude(But; folks have always hated us. Probably because we have the only CORRECT religion.)

See? You are focusing on something that is harmless to you, as a “Believer,” and instead, relying on something that is so beyond the pale as to be ridiculous.

The name of the church you are so deathly afraid of is: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.” The nickname “Mormon” came from the Book of Mormon, a narrative of a “modern day” prophet, who put the history of his people and his country into a book that was cohesive and believable.

If you choose to believe that Jesus Christ is NOT in this message, then shame on you. You and all other anti-Mormons are trying to kill the messenger (Joseph Smith) instead of listening to the message. And again, I say, “shame on you!” And, in today’s vernacular, “WWJD?”

You tell ME.

Glenn Beck offers what? An alternative to Islam? You BETCHA!!!

Shame on those who want to shoot the messenger! This country is fighting for HER LIFE!!!

Sounds like he's a MORMON all right!

I would never accept Morman beliefs. I don’t pay attention to them so they are no threat to me. It sure doesn’t seem like Mormans are too afraid of being forced to accept Christian beliefs.

If you belive in your religion you aren’t worried about being forced to accept another faith. Sure doesn’t seem Palin is too afraid Beck is going to be threat to her.

Geesh

If that would be the case, you are over anyway.

The conservative movement is primarily made up of conservative Christians

Really?? You have the stats to prove this? In my experience, when people start going on about "conservative Christians", they often as not mean Christian Identity, Catholics of the Mel Gibson stripe, and a host of other unsavory "christian" cults, often no better than muslims and often linking arms with the muslims.

MORMONISM is the enemy of Christ same as ISLAM.

Rosie, is that you?

Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America.

Elsie: you have no clue.

Jesus loves you regardless of your hatred for those who follow Him in other faiths. Remember: “Other sheep I have who are not of this fold. Those also I must bring....”

Don’t be so judgemental.

If one is focused on Mormonism, one cannot see the bigger picture,

It IS possible to multi-task, Face.

The earthly threat of Islam in no way lessens the spiritual threat that mormonism presents by sending out 52,000 missionaries every day to attempt to lead Christians and those who have not yet come to Christ into the snares that have been set by Joseph Smith and his "prophets" for the past 180 years.

Even this past weekend mormon leaders were calling for more retirees to join the young men in this effort, which one FReeper called "my dream".

Perhaps the fact that we are ALL going to die, regardless of how, whether in our beds or by the sword escapes those who rail against those of us who are attempting to turn as many as possible away from the fallacies of Joseph Smith's Book of Fiction.

We will ALL be judged...and not by Joseph Smith.

“Morman?” If you can’t spell it right, what right have you got to diss it?

Ignore Mormon theological silliness when we are dealing with grave political or social matters.

So true.

But, if you every worry about the eternal consequences for a person's soul...

Uh, go back and reread. I sure wasn’t dissing the folks. If I didn’t spell it right that would be supportive of my argument.

Reread the posts. Think.

I am not anti-mormon. Show me one post where I said or even implied for you to infer I hate mormons. I detest the lies of mormonISM.

Just to refresh your memory the original posted article was about Beck and lds. It was you who decided to make it about muslims, not I. So most of the discussions have been about Beck and lds, not yours of course.

I will repeat it the spiritual sense both lds and islam will lead to eternal separation from God. It is unclear why you are not able to "get" that concept. Your wild leaps of conversation really boggles the mind.

I can fight creeping islam and defend Christianity from lds at the same time, however you appear to be singular focused on arguing with anyone who doesn't share your views.

Its ok honey, you do what you need to on the singular focus I will continue to multitask and gets lots done.

Well, I believe that Jesus would say that if one does not believe in a literal Hell, they are doomed.

BTW, I'm not “deathly” afraid of the LDS. I just don't want people to be confused about the truth, because that CAN be deadly. I don't HATE anyone and I actually voted for Romney, and so did a lot of my Southern Baptist friends.

I'm not aware of any Christians that are "often no better than Muslims and often linking arms with the Muslims", care to tell us who they are? I'm not aware of any problems of national importance from Mel Gibson"s Catholicism either, tell us which category that you are on this chart, is your category primarily conservative, or liberal as a group?
