The "Born Again American" campaign, despite a really nice song...and most of the words to it...is a ruse and a false flag operation.
I was emailed their site by a conservative friend who had received it from someone else. I watched the video of the song. A really nice tune, and most of the lyrics...but I was taken back by one phrase in the chorus.
Instead of saying "My Country tis of Thee," they used the term, "My Country tios of Me." This bothered me and caused me to go through the site in more detail before singing the "Plkedge".
I am glad I did.
One of the links on the site, under the "Take the Next Step" section which I wnt to out of order (so note, they do not ask you to do that until after you would have signed their pledge and donated money), is to a place to "Learn more about your Freedoms."
This links takes you to one of the major sponsors and partners of the effort, an organization called, "People for the American Way,".
People of the American Way is a leftist site that is upset over Prop 8 in California, which I supported, is excited about Obama's nomination of Sotomayor, which I oppose, and it dedicated to "fighting and exposing" the right...people with traditional values like me.
So, take note and warning and educate your friends who may be taken in by this effort. It is attempting to gather donations and active support from the very people who would be opposed to its underlying initiatives.
As a result, I have let my friend and other know that I cannot and will not sign on to a delcaration since I view it as a false flag operation funded by people who hold views and promote initiatives that I am diamterically opposed to, who are gathering money from people who (many of them at least) would not be supportinve of their initiatives but are being sucked in by a really neat media campaign, and which effort represent not a return to traditional American vlaues, but a departure from them.
Someone should keep a list of “false flag” organzations.
The lefties do stuff like this all the time. I got sent a “cause” invite on Facebook the other day for some “real men don’t hit women” end violence against women etc etc asking for donations. well, if you actually go read the stuff, the donations go to a group called “Out and Equal”, a homosexual advocacy group. Nothing at all to do with helping battered women.

We do not need the cajones to do that, otherwise we become like them.
We simply need the strength, faith and virtue to call them on it, expose them, and stand on principle...every time...in order to win.
They have lost time and again in the war of ideas...we just need to continually fall back on and stand on principle, and then take these bastards to the wood shed every time they do what they do and not fear their manipulation of the press, but trust the American people in hearltand America and take the message to them.
We simply have to have the strength, guts, gunmption, faith and virtue to do that...and we would win. Just like Reagan did.

I’ll be they are one of the agencies that the deposed IG from the group giving out the GIVE Act money would’ve been keeping an eye on if they receive federal grant money. They are “in the trenches” so to speak helping in whatever way they can the less fortunate among us right now...

Better to give it to the Salvation Army — or maybe even better, take the money you would’ve given, go to the grocery store, and buy food to donate to your local food pantry, or church food givaways.
Especially needed are canned meats, lentils, beans, grains & cereals, any and all “pantry items”, so to speak that will keep a long time (flour, cornmeal, sugar, brown sugar, coffee, sugar free drink mixes are nice), Canned Fruit & Fruit Juice is also important — larger cans are great! Check with your local food pantry regarding frozen foods, like ground beef or chicken. :)
I know some of the above unfortunately from personal experience lately... More and more people are seeking help in the ways they can as more and more are unemployed, or underemployed, and the job market is tight in many, many sectors...

I never donate to any organization on the internet. Like you say, you never know...
Our policy is to never donate to anyone who’s looking for money. No telephone calls, no internet solicitations.
You know you made the right decision when the person you say no to gets nasty. Then you know they were up to no good. Anyone worth their salt would understand completely someone’s hesitation these days.

If I’m stupid enough to answer the phone without listening to who it is first (I screen most calls), I always ask them to send me written material. If it’s something worthy, I’ll send them a few dollars (never much). The GOP who called and got nasty will get nothing. Sarah, yes, GOP, no.
