They had a perfectly valid lawsuit, Berg v Obama, right in front of them and they could have easily hung their hats on that if they so chose. But they didn’t, and that makes him de facto qualified. It’s a great legal strategy and it will fly well with the press.

They probably, out of exuberance, printed all govt docs with “Republic” as soon as they declared Independence. They sure didn't want to continue with anything that had Britain associated with it. I was just looking at the time-line.

I’m not willing to crawl out on that limb but I’m reserving judgment. I did take the time to save it as a jpg on my machine. Things have a way of disappearing. Odd that.

IMO, the issue isn’t where he was born because Stanley Ann was an American citizen and, I think, that makes her kids citizens as well. Except, Obama was adopted by his Indo step-dad. That makes him an Indo citizen. Also, if he accepted college money as a foreign student, then by his own admission, he is not a citizen but an alien.

I think that is the way we should go.
