What Karl Rove Should Tell La Raza

White House adviser Karl Rove is scheduled to speak tomorrow at the annual conference of the federally funded, left-wing, open-borders-advocacy group, the National Council of La Raza.
If he does not want his speech to look like an act of appeasement, he should confront La Raza on its opposition to commonsense policies designed to secure both U.S. borders and U.S. pocketbooks.
La Raza, which means The Race in Spanish, has denounced as horrendous and appalling the House immigration bill passed in December, which was sponsored by Judiciary Chairman James Sensenbrenner (R.-Wis.) and supported by the overwhelming majority of House Republicans. The bill, which calls for tough worksite enforcement of immigration laws and 700 miles of border fencing, was condemned by La Raza as a laundry list of mean-spirited and intrusive provisions concocted by the most radical immigrations restrictionists in Congress.
Will Rove defend the immigration reforms passed by President Bushs party in the House and tell La Raza that House Republicans are neither mean-spirited nor radical? He should. House Republicans deserve Roves support.

Does that mean you think it is okay for a Venezuelan company to buy out the only company making voting machines without a paper trail and propriety software (which they refuse to share with the states using them)? The same machines used to validate Hugo's win in the recall election in Venezuela?
New Mexico and a couple of other states have already dumped them and gone back to paper until they can figure something else out.

I think what Rove said wasn't racist, but IMO it was worse than a racist statement - it was an attempt to impunge the motives of his opponent in the debate by implying that Hayworth was racist. It was something that Rove should not have said and probably wishes he hadn't. But, ole JD can get pretty inflammatory himself.

In 2005, the Border Patrol apprehended over 1.2 million illegal aliens.
That's NOT enforcement?
First you CONTROL the flow of entry by offering a legal and accessible route via a guest worker program. Then, once those who prefer entering legally rather than illegally (the majority will) take the legal entry route, you use existing personnel and equipment to control a greatly diminished number of people trying to enter illegally.
Once those two things have been accomplished, we decide what to do about the illegal aliens remaining in the US.

You address that by giving an adequate number of legal guest worker visas to cover all needs.
Those are NEEDS, we do not have the workforce to fill those jobs; we've killed over 30 million Americans in the name of "choice" since 1970, and the baby boomers just started to turn 60.
So we need to address the NEEDS of our various industries.
Create a proper and adequate program, and the borders will be easier to patrol.

First you CONTROL the flow of entry by offering a legal and accessible route via a guest worker programLuis, first you control the flow of entry by ... controlling the borders. You've seen the Senate bill - employers currently hiring illegals will continue to hire illegals because of provisions in the Senate Bill that would price guest workers higher than legal labor.

HR4437 addresses that problem.

New Mexico and a couple of other states have already dumped them and gone back to paper until they can figure something else out. That's what Richardson gets for buying voting machines from shady characters. Most states use Diebold machines, made in Ohio.
Dobbs does tend toward the conspiratorial, so it wouldn't surprise me if he were one of the "Bush stole the elections" freaks.

I think you got it backward.
First you control the border by smacking the paddies of employers who are doing the hiring of illegals.
And you have to do it hard, perp walks, asset forfeitures ... having these individuals spend some quality time with Bubba and the boys in Cell block 'B'. Throw in a physically secure border.
Then, having gotten the attention of those making decisions, one could start to think about a guest worker program.
(And for the record, I too would run, jump, swim ... whatever to get out of a turd world country. Or at least I would hope I had a bit of gumption.)

The BP estimates that on a good day they might catch 1 in 3. That is success to you?
Once those two things have been accomplished, we decide what to do about the illegal aliens remaining in the US.
This is the same LIE that was told to us in 1986--Amnesty ("Guest Worker") first, enforce the laws later. Why would we repeat this failure? You say we shouldn't build a fence or a wall because it can't work. The 1986 Amnesty DIDN'T work. Using your own logic, we shouldn't enact a "guest worker program" because the last time major immigration law changes were passed, it failed (enforcement was not implemented).
And again the question: What will you do with the millions of illegals who still cross the border illegally and who fail to comply with the "guest worker" program (leave when there time is up)?

Call someone a black person instead of African American?

You wrote: "we've killed over 30 million Americans in the name of "choice" since 1970, and the baby boomers just started to turn 60."
Correct, but these new 'citizens', by all past history, will vote Democrat in over whelming numbers.
Now which party has abortion as one of their Sacraments? That's why Dubya had to add the 'path to citizenship' to his proposals. Democrats could care less about the black segment of their voter base which suffers most from this invasion. So to ensure the future control of the county to themselves and their pro abort policy, they threw the blacks under the bus.
