It was reported about 5 weeks ago they were on the outskirts of B'dad. Haven't a peep out of press on their supposed foray into Bagdad and take-over of the Green Zone. And as a reminder there are refugees still on Mt. Sinjar and it's not going well at all.

The media is now in full CYA mode over the shooting of 2 NYPD officers yesterday as they have gone to ground to give full cover to President Obama, the Mayor of New York, Al Sharpton and the whole crazed Left Wing. What is wrong with environmental wackos that they think the laws of physics do not apply to them? The screwy new fuel cans that have no vent are impossible to use. Supposedly the vent will release something undesirable into the air but as that vent is only open when the can is I cannot imagine having a vent is worse than having the can open. Without a vent, the can sort of glugs splashing fuel about, certainly more harmful that vapors and more wasteful. Typical moronic ideas based on desires and not reality.

For what it's worth, the Taliban kill 126 children, claiming that education is poison. In a related note, the very word Taliban comes from the root word Talib, meaning student. They were created in schools, armed themselves with the certainty that they therefore understood everything, and formed the organization "The students". The only reason I post this is that I haven't seen this remarked upon yet. With such astonishing hipocrisy, it must be that the Taliban are an offshoot of progressivism.

Note that it is day after the vote on the spending bill known as CRomnibus and the House clerk has yet to post the votes. (As of 11 am EST, on 12/12/14) I just wrote a flaming red-hot epistle to my congressman, Lou Barletta, about the entire process used with CRomnibus. At least he had an explanation for his vote in a post on his website. I am really curious if the Republican leadership has found a way to delay the House Clerk's posting of the voting results to give cover to Republican congresscritters.

I’m interested in the current Federal funding bill. Below is a list of Federal Departments, starting with the original four enumerated in the Constitution. For each Department, what percentage of their current budget do you think should be granted in this budget? Are there any departments that should be eliminated entirely from Federal funding and purview? The Eric Garner Law. Ban cities from all of these absurd local taxes and creating the incentives that led to the arrest of a guy for selling loosies. Republicans can get behind it because it shows the overreach of tax laws and Democrats won't dare oppose it. All of these major cities are Democrat-run liberal bastions. What say you?
