Returning after a many year hiatus. I used to hang out here (as "dagogo") shortly after it first started back in the Clinton years when the Web was just getting going, but seem to have drifted away over the years, possibly discouraged after Clinton's re-election, but mostly just not spending much time on-line anymore. Anyway, nice to be back, and good to still see a few familiar names from the old days and so many new ones as well! The best of the site remains, and has been added to, as it should be. Thanks to Jim and all the rest of you who kept the faith through the good and bad times. A month ago I started to hear rumblings about the Swift Vets, and I thought I'd check out to see if FreeRepublic was still around and if anyone here had anything to say about them: yeow!
Me? 52 yo MWM, no kids, doctor (shrink), Eagle Scout, US Navy Hospital Corpsman '72-'76 (saw a little action during fall of Cambodia and Saigon). Probably the sole member of Buddhists for Bush, but I go with my devout Catholic wife to Mass each week to honor her and the virtues taught there. In recent years, I enjoy reading the old Greek and Roman writers from the founding of our civilization.
