  • Vanity: CNBC and Climategate: Anyone see any coverage?

I usually constrain my viewing of CNBC to Squawkbox in the 6-9 AM (eastern time) slot and can't claim to watch it all the time. But today I tried to recall hearing ANYTHING about Climategate and couldn't think of even a comment. I went back and looked at "headlines" and "segments" over the past 2 broadcast days (which would have covered the recent revelations of the raw data being dumped from the archives at East Anglia's CRU), but there appeared to be nothing. Climate change and man-made global warming have become one of the most important "stories" in world affairs...

While much attention is being focused on the Secret Service for allowing uninvited socialites Tareq and Michaele Salahi to crash the state dinner for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at the White House last week, the person responsible for all facets of the dinner has so far been given a pass by her friends in the media.White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers, a Chicago pal of the Obamas, failed to follow the previous administration's practice of staffing the Secret Service-guarded entrances for dinner guests with someone from her office that could handle any problem with invitees. The AP quoted Rogers directly...
  • Question for Palin Supporters. What will you do if Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination?

I understand most Palin supporters have already handed her the '12 nomination, but a primary can be unpredictable and bruising. My question is, what will you do if for some reason Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination? Stay home, vote 3rd party or support the nominee (if it is one of todays potential but established candidates)? This is a "what if" question. If you don't have the capacity to contemplate a Palin primary loss then please find another thread on which to slobber and slander (although I seriously doubt this request will be honored).
  • Bob J Poll - Huckabee Supporters - Now that Huck is WillyNortonified, Will Your Vote go to Sarah?

I think it is a good Q. Huck was polling at least 8-10% of GOP voters, it's interesting to know whether those votes now go to the other evangelical Sarah, someone else or whether it puts Hucksters in the undecided column!
  • Bob J Poll - In a match up between Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin, whom would you vote for?

When making your pick, please explain how your candidate is better qualified in terms of experience, knowledge, resolve, dedication, public speaking, interview skills, political savvy and ability, conservative credentials, coolness under fire, etc.

I am reading the recent turns that the search for Obama's birth certificate is taking. That raises a question in my mind (such as it is) IF Obama can be proved to be foreign born and not LEGALLY eligible to be president, he will have to step down from the office . Will all the the bills. treaties etc be invalid and have to be renegotiated and signed by a legal president? It would seem that all of his actions and decisions would be voided?? Yes??No??
  • Why do we announce our military strategy for all to see?(VANITY)

    11/30/2009 5:44:25 AM PST · by jeltz25 · 15 replies · 357+ views
Maybe it's just me, but why is Pres Obama going to give a huge speech tomorrow outlining our future military plans? What's the point? Did FDR go on the radio in Decemeber of 1943 to announce our upcoming invasion of Normandy and where the various units would land? Of course not! In fact, we actually engaged in quite the extensive campaign of misinformantion and deception. Did Truman announce we'd be landing at Inchon? Did Bush 41 announce the left hook? But all the reports out say Obama is going to discuss what units our going, where they'll be going, when...

Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!! No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers!...

She's a God, Country, Family, small government, no nonsense traditional Christian conservative. She's an outsider not corrupted by business as usual Washington politics. They hate her. She's pro defense. An army mom. She's pro-gun. Hunts, fishes and enjoys the great outdoors. She eats corrupt office holders and wasteful spenders for lunch. She drills for oil. She's a fighter. A winner! She's the exact opposite to Obama in all respects. She's an American patriot! In short, she's exactly what we the grassroots tea party patriots are looking for.
  • Healthcare Question (vanity)

    11/30/2009 10:50:56 AM PST · by MNDude · 10 replies · 337+ views
I am the owner of a small business. Our annual payroll is greater than $500,000 a year. We currently pay for healthcare for our employees, but not their families. Does anyone know if ObamaCare passes if we'll be required to start paying for employee family members as well?

Read part one here.White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers has been dodging the heat so far for her failure to ensure the first state dinner by the Obama administration went off without embarrassing the Obamas.Worse still, her failure resulted in a potentially lethal security breakdown that has international repercussions.Slowly the press, which adores Rogers almost as much as they adore her boss First Lady Michelle Obama, are beginning to look past the acknowledged faults of the Secret Service to Rogers' failed stewardship of the dinner.Rebecca Dana and Lloyd Grove have a devastating article at the Daily Beast that noted several...

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and HOPE are in God. 1 Peter 1:21 Unlike the buggy whip press who dutifully panned Palin’s Going Rogue, I’ve actually read this American success story. Unlike their WH e-mailed talking points that it was a whinefest, its quite the opposite and gives all the Glory to God. Her humility comes through as she sets the record straight on some of the most vicious attacks on any person to ever enter politics. She not only tells a very readable personal histoir...
  • Vanity: Obama may well have committed social security # fraud...does it matter?

    11/08/2009 8:18:33 AM PST · by cycle of discernment · 92 replies · 3,687+ views
Should the media turn at least one glazed eye toward the checkered trail of Obama's highly suspicious connection to multiple social security numbers? I dunno, maybe ask a question or two?
