Archaeology bombshell: Discovery of 145 human remains that 'solves biggest Bible mystery'
The Express, UK ^ | July 29, 2020 | CHARLIE BRADLEY

The researchers found a Philistine cemetery in Israel – home to 145 human remains dating back to between the 11th and the 8th centuries BC. The discovery, made in 2013 and finally revealed in 2016, may yield answers to an enduring mystery surrounding the origins of the Philistines. It came at the end of a 30-year excavation by the Leon Levy Expedition. The Philistines were an ancient people who lived from the 12th century BC until 604 BC. They are known for their biblical conflict with the Israelites.

>Heck, I would have liked to know more about who Cain, Abel, Seth (and any other sons) married in those early years.

Their sisters. It’s no mystery.

Who are they? Did Cain marry before or after Abel? Was there polygamy? I KNOW they married their sisters. Who were they?

Right answer.
Every Christian apologist is tired of this question. People rarely ask it out of genuine interest or curiosity, rather they seem to think that it is a self-evident, self-refutation within the Bible, as if the Bible is just another mythological storybook.

Then when you say he married his sister, they persist saying, “That is incest!” That is another type of internal contradiction, that the Bible contradicts its own morality. so then you must discuss what incest actually is and why or Who makes it wrong and how. It isn’t incest, it is actually consanguineous marriage. In some states, you can still marry your first cousin even now.

Next they question that there could be any number of daughters of Adam and Eve not named in Genesis, to which I respond with,
“In the Bible women don’t count.”
“What?!”
“You know like in the feeding of the five thousand, it says 5000 men, and no count of how many women and children. Women and children don’t count.”
And then, “That is so sexist!!”
There it ends.

I am a Christian, and I was asking it out of genuine curiosity. I went to college with other Christians who had a similar curiosity. I am sure that your experience is real in your circles, but it doesn't match mine.

Possibly and plausibly, but it could also refer to modulation (changing key), or maybe different voices or instruments.

I have never studied Hebrew, but I have a Langenscheidt Pocket Hebrew Dictionary (for Biblical Hebrew, not Modern Hebrew). It lists Delilah (I can't type the Hebrew letters or the Masoretic symbols) as pr.n.f. (proper name, female), and gives the meaning as "languishing, tender."

The story was remembered and told by Israelites so that Delilah is a name with a Hebrew meaning may not be significant. The Philistines seem to have lost their original language after a while so they would have been speaking Canaanite, which I think was pretty similar to Hebrew.

There are same ancient sources that name the daughters of Adam and Eve as Aven and Azura.

Jewish tradition doesn’t name them, but says Abel was born with two sisters, Cain with one.

Genesis 5:4 indicates a number of other offspring of the first couple.

There are other ancient sources (Book of Adam and Eve I & II) that mention Luluwa (wife of Cain) and Aklia (wife of Seth).

Unless these are the same names that you cite translated differently. These of course are NOT canonical.

Cain was sent off to the land of Nod. There must have been people there, as God had to mark him and protect him from being killed. If Adam and Eve were the first two human beings, how would Cain have found a wife or people other than his direct family? You explain it then. We are all made alive “in Christ”. Since the line of David is started by Adam and Eve, it was not a line ALL descended from. That is all those two are is the first ancestors of the line of David. Scripture is a history told from the POV of the Hebrews descended from Eve and how they interacted with other lines of people.
