The Netherlands is selling 44 combat vehicles to Estonia. Minister Hennis-Plasschaert (Defense) expects the sales contract to be signed in December. The Swedish manufactured CV90 vehicles are still relatively new. They were commissioned by the Dutch army in 2008. Due to cut backs that were agreed on last year, 44 of the 176 vehicles will be sold The Netherlands and Estonia will exchange information on the use and maintenance of the vehicles. NATO is putting more military resources in the Baltic States as they feel a threat from Russia. The Netherlands will provide 4 F-16’s to help monitor airspace.
