If you're a fan of time travel shows like Doctor Who, then you know it's entirely possible for one person to exist in two different timelines at the same time...theoretically. Recently, I suddenly realized that many of my friends are still existing in the fear/isolation Timeline I "Tardis-ed" out of back in March 2020. That makes me terribly sad. As someone who was raised in an Environment of Fear, I know how damaging it is. I hate what it did to me and what it's doing to my friends still living in the fear/isolation timeline for the best possible reasons:...

Hello to the people of the Free Republic. This is in two parts. In Part One, as my first post here, I want to tell you a little about myself and it leads into an issue I want to discuss: A lifelong (for 36 years) Democrat, I did what I could for my beliefs and my country. I did research and gave talks on the far-right groups who I felt wanted a theocracy and blah blah blah. I had several ex-Communist-country friends and they told me how the economy and the media worked and disinformation and so many things. Like...

I just got an email from a friend of mine. The email has a photo of a couple at what looks to be a costume or Halloween party. The male in the photo looks like He could be a young Bill Clinton. The female is in black face and cannot be identified as Hillary, at least with my eyes. Any freepers know if this could be legit? Or is it a hoax? Sorry not sure how to insert a photo into my post, I am still learning. thanks

Michele Obama, the former first lady, said in an interview that aired Sunday that she "stopped even trying to smile" during President Trump inauguration and wondered in her new book why so many women rejected "an exceptionally qualified female candidate and instead choose a misogynist as their president." Obama spoke with ABC News in a wide-ranging interview. She recalled in her book, "Becoming," watching her husband step aside for Trump on Jan. 20, 2017. She wrote in the book that "the vibrant diversity of the two previous inaugurations was gone…Someone from Barack’s administration might have said that the optics were...

As night follows day, mass shootings in America are followed by a succession of Democratic politicians and liberal activists pushing for tighter gun restrictions. Almost as reliably, those efforts fail. But in the wake of the massacre in Las Vegas, in which Stephen Paddock killed 58 people and injured hundreds more at an outdoor concert, there is reason to believe this time might be different. Paddock used “bump stock” devices that effectively turn semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic weapons, causing a higher death toll. Republicans and Democrats in Congress have shown some support for a ban of bump stocks. House...

The allocation of culpability for the violence that resulted in the tragic death of Heather Heyer at a protest/counter-protest rally in Charlottesville, VA by the media last week really should not have come as a surprise. In the case of Republicans, the news-cycle will consisted of the following phases: If the violence is perpetrated by a hate group(s) whose members are racists, anti-Semites, and white supremacists, first, implicitly tie the Republican Party and its leaders (or if it is President Trump, explicitly) to the offending hate group; secondly, insist he or she publicly renounce the group; third, if the Republican...

Special announcement today from the presidential press secretary in Washington: Begin: Is everyone here? Are you all rolling? (That is for the radio audio recorders and television cameras) I have a joint statement today for you from the White House and the Department of Defense. First, thank you all for coming in on what for many is a well-deserved day off. I know it’s a beautiful day here in Washington, so I’ll try to make this as quick as possible. I have a statement for you and will be up to take a few questions afterwards. After this briefing concludes,...

Trump: Cruz doesn’t ‘even know what state he comes GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Tuesday mocked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for mistakenly calling Florida his home state. “His home state is not Florida, it is Texas,” he told host Anderson Cooper during a CNN townhall in Milwaukee. “It might be Canada,” Trump quipped, mocking Cruz’s birthplace. “[But] he didn’t even know what state he comes from. Fort Hood is from Texas by the way. I am so surprised, Anderson, that you let him get away with it.” Cruz accidentally called Florida as his home state while discussing a 2009...

It only benefitted the front-runner. Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz and Governor John Kasich did their best to underscore their policy acumen and to highlight Donald Trump’s lack of substance. It backfired. Neither his opponents on stage nor the debate moderators laid a glove on Trump. When Trump repeatedly called Putin a “strong leader” without refusing to place a value judgment on his leadership, neither moderator Jake Tapper nor his opponents on stage pressed him. When Tapper asked Trump about his violence-inciting rhetoric at rallies, none of Trump’s opponents called him out for refusing to disavow it. There is...

WASHINGTON, DC: When it comes to increasing skilled workers on H-1B visas, one could say presidential candidate Ted Cruz is a bit of a black sheep amongst the GOP.The Republican presidential candidate wants to increase the H-1B visas by 500 percent from its 65,000 to 325,000. Cruz, who announced his run for the Oval office this morning, had made the proposition in 2013 as an amendment to the Senate’s comprehensive immigration bill. While the Senate’s Judiciary Committee torpedoed Cruz’s amendment, they did approve an increase of 180,000 in the H-1B cap, but the House never acted on the legislation. It’s not clear...

The Healthcare Annex, according to WikiLeaks, “seeks to regulate state schemes for medicines and medical devices. It forces healthcare authorities to give big pharmaceutical companies more information about national decisions on public access to medicine, and grants corporations greater powers to challenge decisions they perceive as harmful to their interests.” Dr. Deborah Gleeson, who gave professional review and analysis to WikiLeaks said, “The purported aim of the Annex is to facilitate ‘high-quality healthcare’ but the Annex does nothing to achieve this. It is clearly intended to cater to the interests of the pharmaceutical industry.” Gleeson added, “Nor does this do...

Hello This is the first time I have posted so please forgive me if I have this topic in the wrong place. However, I had a questions and was hoping to receive some help. I am writing an article about gays who are against the homosexual agenda and thought I would include something in there about homosexuality and mental health. In the 1970s the APA changed the classification of homosexuality so it was no longer considered mental illness and many psychology and psychiatry organizations all over the world have followed. However, there was little basis at that time to think...

Nostalgia, The Good Old Days – Who Needs Them? America needs a visionary for the future! During the past, and recent presidential election we hear the all too familiar suggestion of “returning to the good old days.” Every candidate talk about returning America to a sense of values. I don’t know about you but each time I hear, or heard that suggestion I get a little queasy in the stomach accompanied by a little bewilderment, confusion, and absolute disgust! Whenever I hear the suggestion I often wonder exactly what period in time they want to take us back to! Could...

I went to Target to check on shirts. I see a well dressed gentleman, probably in his thirties. This guy had a pale blue dress shirt lined with thin vertical stripes in a darker tone, he wore a brocaded, sapphire blue tie, slate grey pants with the cleaner's crease still there, his shoes, Florshiem and shiny black. I don't usually notice or give a damn what others wear. It looked to me as though he was capable of making his own mind up, instead, he passively waits and watches someone chose for him. My own attire, while always clean, is...
