JOHN FORBES DUKAKIS It's hard to criticize John Kerry these days. Apparently, every criticism of him is unfair. At least, we're not supposed to criticize his time in Vietnam -- or even what he's said about Vietnam more recently -- because that would be a "smear" (even when the Kerry campaign admits, as it has regarding Kerry's Christmas-in-Cambodia claims, that he hasn't been telling the truth). . As he drew nearer, however, the woman suddenly ripped off her Cahill mask, behind which was ... Susan Estrich, Michael Dukakis' campaign manager! At that point, he woke up screaming. Ouch. The difference,...

After watching all of Kerry's midnight speech and others from him this week, I was wondering. How long will it be before he checks himself into a hospital for having a anxiety attack? Any guesses?

A quick look at the DUmmies shows their latest tactic: another googlebomb attempt, trying to link the best-selling Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth's "Unfit for Command" with either the White House bio of President or the President's re-election campaign site. Truly pitiful. . .and to think they actually BELIEVE this kind of crap changes minds ???

Schuler's Books on 28th Street has an ample supply of "Unfit for Command". Go in and buy one to perhaps send a message to the Chomsky-fascinated proprietor. I rarely go in Schuler's any longer because of all the hate literature littering the store.

Will John Kerry issue in an age of a “stronger America” as his campaign bumper stickers state? I have found quite the contrary, and have provided documentation. In the mid 1960’s he tried to avoid military service for 12 months so he could continue his studies in Paris, according to Britain’s Telegraph. [1] Then he served 4 ½ months in Vietnam. Though he claimed a Purple Heart for his first “injury,” his own diary for that day states, “we hadn't been shot at yet.” [2] According to the Military Order of the Purple Heart, you have to be wounded to...

These should be heady days for conservative authors. "Unfit for Command," an unflattering appraisal of Senator John Kerry's service in Vietnam, is the fastest-selling book in the country. Ronald Kessler's sympathetic behind-the-scenes account of the Bush White House, "A Matter of Character," also graces the national best-seller lists. Sean Hannity, Michael Savage and Dick Morris, conservatives all, have produced some of this year's most popular books. Big publishing houses are practically falling over themselves to bring new conservative titles to market. President Bush is moving up in the polls, and the Republicans have at least an even chance of holding...

It's a conspiracy! Barnes & Noble and Borders are intentionally keeping a book critical of John Kerry off the shelves - so say conspiracy theorists who fly with the right wing. The nation's No. 1 and 2 booksellers have been barraged with complaints about the unavailablity of "Unfit for Command," by John E. O'Neill and Jerome R. Corsi. The book, released Aug. 15 and authored by former Vietnam War swift boat veterans, flew off shelves during its first week on the market. The publisher, Regnery Publishing, said they didn't anticipate it being so popular and didn't print enough copies. Its...

Anyone who thinks that pundits, blathering on about the polarization of voters this election year, are overstating the case ought to spend some time in bookstores. Reports abound of unusual customer complaints. Some are concerned that anti-Kerry books are displayed too prominently, others that anti-Bush tomes are getting the prime spots, and still others that the anti-Kerry ``Unfit for Command'' is too often out of stock. We doubt a liberal or right-wing conspiracy amongst the nation's booksellers, but it's getting harder to doubt the zealousness of many voters this year. One Borders sales manager at Logan's Terminal C reports some...

John Kerry's spokesman on veterans issues, John Hurley announced on Fox News Sunday August 22 that John Kerry was right when he accused US troops of committing atrocities against civilians "on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command." Why would Hurley continue to repeat John Kerry's malicious slanders knowing that they had been completely discredited? Furthermore, why is the media trying to give credibility to the views of this John Kerry spokesman on veterans issues even though he has been exposed as a calculating liar? Well, I don't think I need repeat...

John Kerry’s Fellow TravellersA 5-part series exposing John Kerry’s Communist connections.Part 2: Forging a Paper Hero: The Mystery of Kerry’s MedalsBy Fedora *NOTE: The term “fellow traveller” as used in this article series refers to someone who is not a member of the Communist Party (CP) but regularly engages in actions which advance the Party’s program. Some apparent fellow travellers may actually be “concealed party members”: members of the CP who conceal their membership. Which of these classifications is applicable to the Kerrys is a question this series leaves unresolved. This series does not argue for any direct evidence of...

Brit Hume just reported this on the new's segment. Amazon stated that they usually don't allow this, but since it was a political year, they are changing policy, that everyone should just 'have fun'. I'm paraphrasing here, but it was a news story.Brit added that such criticism is not allowed for Richard Clarke's books and other books critical of Bush.I looked for a link to the story, but I'm coming up empty. Did anyone hear this?

MMFA sends letter to Wal-Mart, Amazon.com, and Barnes & Noble asking these top booksellers to review policies on selling Unfit for Command Dear CEO: In light of an August 19 report in The Washington Post (titled "Records Counter a Critic of Kerry") proving that a key allegation in the new book Unfit for Command by John E. O'Neill and Jerome R. Corsi is fraudulent, I'm writing to express my concern that by continuing to sell Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry as a work of nonfiction, prominent book retailers are complicit in a literary hoax....

Columnist Has Ties to Anti-Kerry Book By JACQUES STEINBERG Published: August 30, 2004 mong the stoutest defenders of "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry," the best-selling book arguing that Mr. Kerry lied about his record of service in Vietnam, is the columnist Robert Novak. In his syndicated columns and on the CNN program "Crossfire," Mr. Novak has lauded the book and referred to veterans who criticize Mr. Kerry - most notably John E. O'Neill, the book's co-author - as "real patriots." Unmentioned in Mr. Novak's columns and television appearances, however, is a personal connection he...

Senator Also May Have Set Up Meetings Between Chinese Firms, U.S. Officials (WASHINGTON, D.C.) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released recently declassified documents showing that Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry accepted laundered contributions for his 1996 re-election campaign from the Communist Chinese government and that, in exchange, he may have arranged meetings between Chinese aerospace executives and U.S. government officials. Obtained from the FBI through Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act requests, the documents are related to the FBI’s “Chinagate” investigation into the Clinton campaign’s acceptance of contributions from Communist...
