yep, I received the same email today...the book will probably be in paperback before I get a copy. LOL
I ordered my from Booksamillion.com last week... will be delivered today.
I received the same e-mail even though I have already received the book.
Got the same Email last week. I cancelled order. Did find a copy at Borders. I also have been contacted ny a reporter from a reasonable NYC newspaper about the difficulties in obtaining UFC. He investigating.
I purchased a copy at a local bookseller last Friday. It was marked as the 5th printing. The publisher completely missed projecting demand. Or, you could say it is popular beyond all expectations.
I think most of the rumors about retailers refusing to sell the book have been debunked. Few Americans favor book banning, other than John Kerry...
You received someone else's copy, send it back and wait for your own...... };)
I just donated my copy to our local library. The more people that are exposed to this book, the more votes John Kerry loses.
I was gonna say....I use our local Booksamillion, and they've never let me down.
Me too! This will be my 2nd copy so that I can keep one and pass the other around
I've been checking my local Costco (San Diego County) every other day. On Saturday, there was finally a big display of the book, and it was selling quite well. Got my copy for the Costco price of $15.72 + tax.
I got the same email this morning. I had purchased a copy at Costco on Friday, so I'll cancel my Amazon order. Think I'll stop back by Costco to buy a couple of more copies to hand out to friends.
And there are even fewer who are so idealogical they'd favor book banning over making a huge profit. Which it looks like booksellers are going to do with UFFC.
She told me that a new shipment would be in Saturday morning and that they would let me know.
While I was out running errands, BAM called my house.
By the time I got home, my wife had already gone to pick it up for me as a surprise. :^)
I stopped in a local Barnes & Noble. I couldn't find it and so as a test I figured I would ask about it to guage if the people working there would grimace. The woman I talked to said that they had 40 copies 30 of which were on hold and the other 10 sold out almost immediately. They are on back-order and she said that she thinks it was because the publisher is smaller than a normal publisher. Amazingly, she even offered the opinion that "It's supposed to be a very good book.". I guess I was not prepared to hear that from a bookstore employee.
Does anyone have an idea of how many books have been sold so far?
I ordered Unfit for Command and Hugh Hewitt's new book from
Amazon on August 20. Here is the UPS package track...
