On www.wintersoldier.com's Timeline page, it says "April 22, 1972 -- John Kerry represents the VVAW at the "Emergency March for Peace" in Bryant Park in New York City." At that same time, according to the FBI surveillance file, Section 50, Part 1, Page 152. VVAW/WSO revealed information about a US Military operation. "...the VVAW/WSO operation during 4/72 during which a canvass of VVAW/WSO members, some in active military service, developed information indicating US would bomb Hanoi and Haiphong. This information was disseminated by VVAW/WSO prior to the actual bombing and could have seriously jeopardized US Military operations and lives of...

I received an advance review copy of "Unfit For Command" this week, and have read it cover to cover. I started reading it as publicity for the book was mounting, and at least one revelation in the book (Kerry's alleged Christmas in Cambodia) was proven to be true, causing the Kerry campaign to "clarify" his past statements. This gave the content of this book exponentially more credibility, which increased my attentiveness to detail in the course of reading it. The book is divided in two parts. Part I discusses Kerry's service in Vietnam and was based on first hand accounts...

On April 18th, this year, Mr Kerry, as Tim Russert's guest, assured the host, that his records would be made available to the public. To this day, only selective portions have been released. When will Tim Russert challenge Mr Kerry to fulfill his promise?? From NBC NEWS- Meet the Press: " MR. RUSSERT: The Boston Globe reports that your commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander Grant Hibberd has suggested that you perhaps didn't earn your first Purple Heart and question whether you should have left Vietnam after six months. In order to deal with those kinds of issues, when I asked President...

Barnes and Noble, who is listed on the Kerry website as a backer of his campaign (see list below), is saying that they won't have the Swift Boat Veteran's For TRUTH book, "UNFIT For Command" on their shelves or on their website until September 1st. The book was supposed to come out on August 15th, and sites such as Amazon do have the book in stock. I have a Barnes & Noble around the corner from me, and I can guarantee you that all of the Bush-bashing books lining the shelves got put on the shelves most-ricky-tick. BUY THIS BOOK,...

Ahh, the gems from Amazon.com. DNC must have ordered their own "goons" to Amazon to spit on the honor of the SwiftVets. A sampling... I find it difficult to read this book without laughing. O'Neill's "account" sets a new low for right wing propaganda and really doesn't belong in the non-fiction section of any respectable library. None of the veterans included within actually served with Kerry on his swift boat under fire and even the misappropriated facts seem horribly transparent as political mudslinging - so much so that even the Bush administration won't openly condone it. I give it one...

Starnge disconnect: "Unfit for Command" #1 best seller in the U.S. on Amazon.com Not listed at all on NYT Top 35 Best Seller List Can you say, "Push Ranking"? I thought so. What other evidence of the NYT's utter worthlessness in reporting the news does one need?

¾ THROUGH 'UNFIT FOR COMMAND' [08/15 11:28 AM] So, while flying down to Hilton Head, I read through the first three quarters of “Unfit For Command.” Impressions so far: Book reviews won’t do justice to the charges in this book. Excerpts, the free chapter distributed online by Regnery, blog discussions… none of them can really give a full and comprehensive picture of the case that John O’Neill and Jerome Corsi lay out in these 185 pages. If you really want to understand the depth and breadth of their argument, you’ll have to pick it up yourself. We’ve heard and read...

You might think you've heard all the startling revelations about John Kerry's history from the new book, "Unfit for Command," by John O'Neill and Jerome Corsi. Think again. As I finish reading this book, I continue to find – literally on every page – new information that stuns even me, someone who has watched John Kerry's career with skepticism and alarm for the last 33 years. Take this, for instance. On June 29, 1971, according to an FBI report, Kerry praised Vietnam's communist dictator Ho Chi Minh, comparing him to George Washington. At the time, Kerry was serving as the...

I was on Mr. Kerry's boat in Vietnam. He doesn't deserve to be commander in chief.

Truth bound to come out on Kerry's military duty August 10, 2004 BY JOHN O'SULLIVAN When Sen. John Kerry saluted and announced that he was "reporting for duty" at last month's Democratic Convention, he made his military record a legitimate subject of political attack and journalistic investigation. That moment was the culmination of the powerful "Vietnam theme" that has distinguished the Kerry presidential campaign from almost all recent Democratic campaigns. He had turned around a failing primary season in Iowa with the filmed testimony of the sailor whose life he saved when he pulled him back into the swift boat...

I have read a lot on FR concerning Kerry and the Swift Boats, and have listen and seen a lot of it on the tube and listened to the story on the radio. I believe the Swift Boat vets. However, here is my question. Since Kerry was in the Navy - and all navy personnel on FR know this - then he was required to keep a log on the boat. All the boats kept logs. All the logs are saved. Why doesn't someone go back and check the log records of Kerry's boat and the other boats? Has this...

A caller in the 10 o'clock (EST) claimed to be a vet who arrived in Vietnam shortly after Kerry left. Part of the caller's job was to review action reports involving special forces personnel. Regarding the incident in which Kerry saved Rathman by pulling him from the water, the caller says none of the action reports (there were 4-6 ?, one from each commander of the swift boats involved) reported enemy fire. This includes the report written by Kerry. (He especially noted the Kerry report because he had heard stories about the swift boat commander who bragged he would be...

I will just post the last graph for copyright purposes, but you should read the whole thing. It is a study in narcissitic self-pity:John Kerry's Vietnam War journalExcerpt from a type-written journal kept by John F. Kerry during his tour of duty in the Vietnam War: ... It's cool now and the evening has closed around you to become full night. The night for once is comforting and you take a coke and some peanut butter and jelly and go up on the roof of the cabin whit your tape recorder and sit for a while, quietly, watching flares float...

Dear Oxen, I'm interrupting John Kerry's dispatches from the road to tell you about something that will make you angry, but which is important for you to hear. We knew it was coming: the Bush campaign and several allied right-wing groups are using August to launch a vicious smear attack against John Kerry. They think we're vulnerable this month because while George Bush is still able to raise money for attack ads, Kerry had to stop fundraising at the Democratic convention last week. They're taking this opportunity to go for the jugular. We need you to join us in this...

WASHINGTON — Part of John Kerry's (search) strategy in his White House bid is to play up his military service in Vietnam, but a group of veterans is challenging the Democratic presidential nominee's story. ~In an Oct. 14, 1979, letter to the editor of the Boston Herald, Kerry wrote: "I remember spending Christmas Eve of 1968 five miles across the Cambodian borde being shot at by our South Vietnamese allies who were drunk and celebrating Christmas. The absurdity of almost being killed by our own allies in a country in which President Nixon claimed there were no American troops was...
