The petrol bombs landed outside the embassy, which has become the focal point for anti-war protests in Iran in recent days, the witnesses said. A crowd of about 500 protesters gathered outside the embassy after tens of thousands -- chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Britain" -- earlier took part in a state-sponsored nationwide rally against the occupation of Iraq, witnesses said....

LONDON : Britain closed its embassy in Bulgaria for security reasons on Thursday, a week after suicide bombers killed more than 30 people in attacks on British interests in neighbouring Turkey . TEHRAN (Reuters) - A fire bomb has been thrown at the British embassy compound in central Tehran, but no one was hurt and little damage caused, a British diplomat told Reuters. The attack, which follows bombings on British targets in Istanbul on Thursday that killed 27 people, was not preceded by any warnings nor was there any immediate claim of responsibility. "We're in touch with the Iranian authorities and we're reviewing our security arrangements," the British diplomat said on Friday.

NAIROBI: The British High Commission (embassy) in Kenya has decided to close until further notice because of a "specific threat" it has received, a spokesman said Wednesday.
