The 72nd Annual MISS UNIVERSE PAGEANT will be broadcast LIVE from El Salvador on Saturday, November 18th on YouTube, Roku or Telemundo in the United States, starting at 8:00 PM ET. The pageant's owners, JKN Global Group, out of Thailand, just filed for bankruptcy last week. This year's pageant will go on as scheduled. I always watch this contest on Telemundo because Latin American countries take this pageant very seriously and do a great broadcasting the event. They even have a pre-show scheduled as well. Two trans women, Miss Portugal and Miss Netherlands, will be competing amongst the 84 candidates....

On November 13, Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence; that request came from his wife. Deep down, he knew she was right, but he also knew that some day he would return to her. With nowhere else to go, he appeared at the home of his childhood friend, Oscar Madison. Several years earlier, Madison's wife had thrown him out, requesting that he never return. Can two divorced men share an apartment without driving each other crazy?

If you have only passing familiarity with The Twilight Zone — maybe only really knowing its iconic opening sequence — you might be forgiven for thinking that the classic television show centered on scary themes. In reality, however, while the show certainly had a dark atmosphere and included plenty of suspense, creepiness, and dread, it fell more into the genres of science fiction and fantasy than horror. Peet's Coffee is running six TV commercials, and two of them are racist. Both of those racist ads contrast cool non-whites with whites behaving badly. In the first ad ("Birthday Cake", https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VINuGmrcibw) a white couple dressed like preppies are in the jungle somewhere looking for coffee beans that taste like birthday cake. The Noble Hispanic Coffee Grower can't believe it. When he ignores their request and walks away, the broad caricatures even ask to speak to a manager (a reference to the racist "Karen" trope). In the second ad ("Mango Breeze", https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=700iqog80Jo) a white woman orders complicated coffee drinks. Her...

Disney’s She-Hulk star Mark Ruffalo is pleading with his followers to “organize the vote” after the U.S. Supreme Court overturning affirmative action in college admissions, and in a separate ruling, struck down President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan, ending a $430 billion debt write-off that critics said had been a midterm election gimmick Biden knew was unconstitutional. “Okay.
