Down in Florida, there’s some talk among liberals to #BoycottPublix, the giant Florida grocery store chain, over its financial support of GOP gubernatorial candidate Adam Putnam because Putnam is supporter of the NRA:
-
You hear about the Trump country bubble and the liberal bubble, though the latter one is much, much denser. There may be one that could rival the dome encompassing Hillary’s America: the anti-gun bubble. You’d think after multiple tragedies and shoddy reporting concerning gun terminology, the media and their ilk would learn. They haven’t. It’s gotten worse. After the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in February, the media still doesn’t know the difference between semi-automatic and automatic, one outlet thought a shotgun was an AR-15 rifle, and the media still doesn’t know that a) the AR-15 is a very...

Oliver North called America’s new youth gun-control activists “civil terrorists”; the movement’s public face trolled back Thursday with an Iran-Contra joke. David Hogg took to Twitter to mock Mr. North, the new president of the National Rifle Association as someone who knows all about terrorism. Mr. Hogg retweeted a Salon article commenting on an interview with The Washington Times in which Mr. North said of the Florida school-shooting victims such as Mr. Hogg, “They’re not activists — this is civil terrorism.” The teenager replied: “#OnTheContra you would know about terrorism, wouldn’t you?”

Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg says the National Rifle Association is scared of the support he and other young gun control activists have received in the months after the Florida tragedy. In a CNN appearance on Friday, Hogg told Anderson Cooper that president Donald Trump and vice president Mike Pence's appearances at the NRA convention in Dallas serve as proof that the powerful gun lobby is worried about the upcoming midterm elections. The 18-year-old activist said: 'This is the first time they had the president and the vice president come out to the annual convention for the NRA. What they...

The 18-year-old gun control activist was a guest of liberal news site the Daily Beast and attended the event with fellow gun violence survivor Zion Kelly. Kelly's twin brother was shot dead last year by a robber who had tried assaulting Kelly just hours before near their Washington D.C. home. Hogg has become one of the leading...

Gun-control activist David Hogg now wants to stop elected politicians from speaking to the National Rifle Association. In a tweet Sunday, Mr. Hogg noted that he had signed a MoveOn.org petition to “Demand Mike Pence cancel his speech to the NRA convention on May 4.” The tweet to Mr. Hogg’s 777,000 Twitter followers links to a petition that makes a similar demand of Nick Ayers, the vice president’s chief of staff. It was unclear whether the threat from Mr. Hogg’s followers would discourage the vice president from going to the Dallas meeting.

Former President Barack Obama has again lauded the students of Parkland, Florida, writing that they "are shaking us out of our complacency." "America's response to mass shootings has long followed a predictable pattern," the 44th president wrote in an entry published Thursday in Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People" list. "This time, something different is happening. This time, our children are calling us to account." "Seared by memories of seeing their friends murdered at a place they believed to be safe, these young leaders don't intimidate easily," Obama wrote of the students. "The Parkland, Fla., students don't have the kind...

has a whiff of classic fake news: David Hogg and all his foul-mouthed little high school buddies who made headlines and raked cash from their calls for gun control in the wake of the Parkland shooting have been elevated to the number-one spot in Fortune magazine's annual list of the World's 50 Greatest Leaders. Mike Allen at Axios got a sneak peek of the upcoming issue and reported it in his Vitals column this morning: FORTUNE editor-in-chief Clifton Leaf: "If 2018 becomes the year that the United States finally begins to tackle its disease of gun violence ... it will...

Gun control proponent David Hogg is pushing a boycott of mutual fund companies invested in firearm manufacturer stocks. This follows his boycott of Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, which resulted in her initially losing advertisers and apologizing to him only to have her viewership jump 20 percent. Now Hogg is targeting BlackRock, Vanguard Group, and a few other mutual fund companies for holding gun manufacturers’ stock in their mutual funds. Hogg tweeted:

One of Parkland, Fla.'s most prominent student activists on stopping gun violence has called for a boycott of Vanguard and BlackRock, two of the world's biggest investors in gunmakers. In a post on Twitter on Tuesday, David Hogg remarked on the firms' ownership of gun maker stocks, adding "if you use them, feel free to let them know." Then he added two tags: BoycottVanguard BoycottBlackrock.

What if they gave a boycott and everyone bought? Looks like the case with high school gun control activist David Hogg after Fox News host and radio star Laura Ingraham hurt his feelings on Twitter and he responded with a call for a nationwide advertiser boycott of Ingraham's television show. According to Breitbart News, citing Newsbusters: A campaign led by anti-gun activist David Hogg aimed at the advertisers of Laura Ingraham's Fox News show The Ingraham Angle appears to have backfired, as her ratings have reportedly risen by over 20 percent. "Since Ingraham returned from vacation on April 9, total...

Sponsors who left Fox News star Laura Ingraham’s show at the behest of teen gun control activist David Hogg are missing out on a 20 percent increase in eyeballs. The conservative author of “Shut up and Sing” lost nearly 30 advertisers since a boycott against her show launched March 29, but those who held firm are benefiting from a ratings windfall. Data compiled by the media watchdog News Busters shows a jump from 2.23 million viewers prior to Mr. Hogg’s campaign to 2.7 million since her return from a vacation.

David Hogg is calling for another student walkout, because he has nothing better to do and is probably super irritated that America couldn’t care less what he has to say about the Second Amendment. It’s not going anywhere. A bunch of emotionally-driven kids– JK, ADULTS…Hogg is an ADULT now– aren’t changing that. But here we are. Hogg hasn’t gotten enough attention lately, and AR-15s are still legal, so another walkout it is! He REFUSES to allow his 15 minutes of fame to die out! It’s been just over 2 months. We have walked out of school and now, on 4/20,...

Parkland shooting survivor and #NeverAgain movement co-founder David Hogg quickly moved into national prominence as a gun violence prevention advocate after tragedy struck at his high school. The teenage activist hasn't just stuck to the gun debate, though — he's been pushing for people to just get more engaged in their communities, too. Now, David Hogg is celebrating his 18th birthday on Twitter in a powerful way. "Now that I’m 18 I can vote will you?" Hogg tweeted on Wednesday. While he received a bunch of birthday greetings and messages of support and agreement, mixed in with those were numerous...

David Hogg has been accepted at the University of California, Irvine, "but he will not be going to college this year because he's decided to take a year off and work on the midterm elections," his mother, Rebecca Boldrick, told CNN Monday. She said her son hopes to register and educate new voters and to "get people to vote."

The gun manufacturers of America have had a tough time since Barack Obama, dubbed the “greatest gun salesman in America” on CNN Money, and “best gun salesman on the planet” on CNBC, left office. After the November 2016 election of President Trump, monthly background checks for firearms purchases tumbled by 500,000. The market was so grim that in February this year, legendary firearms manufacturer Remington filed for bankruptcy. But suddenly the fortunes of gun manufacturers seem to have taken a turn upward, thanks mostly to David Hogg. AWR Hawkins reports on Breitbart:

David Hogg, a 17-year-old student who survived February's mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, on Monday night downplayed claims that his boycott of Fox News host Laura Ingraham's advertisers was being led by "powerful, shadowy radical groups." Hogg appeared on MSNBC's "The Last Word," where he was asked about former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly's tweet about the boycott "being directed by powerful, shadowy radical groups who want Laura Ingraham off the air." The boycott, which has been pushed by Media Matters for America among other liberal-leaning groups, has led to at least 15 companies dropping their ads from her show...
