Al Gore has charged that the Bush administration is attempting to cover-up the 9/11 investigation by dismissing the Senate Intelligence Committee. In a speech sponsored by the Communist Group Moveon.org, Gore dismissed the partisan Democrat memo advising the committee to use intelligence information for political purposes as "trivial", and accused Bush of over-reaching in his authority, in much the same way as Richard Nixon did when he fired his Chief Investigator during the Watergate scandal.
