Dana Loesch’s calling out of CNN’s “real journalist” Piers Morgan over his error in categorizing the caliber of the Bushmaster rifle used in the Sandy Hook massacre might seem petty, aside from two reasons. First, Morgan believes he’s fully qualified to determine what weapons American citizens should and should not be allowed to own. Second, he himself wastes no opportunity to call out his detractors on their spelling errors, like so:

To CNN/Piers Morgan Tonight: I find the behavior and demeanor of Piers Morgan despicable. Piers Morgan is a representative of CNN. As such he has seriously damaged the image and credibility of CNN (which most believe is already nill) with his crass, repugnant, rude behavior. Further, Mr. Morgan is a British subject. As such he and the "Crown" should remember the severe ASS KICKING they suffered in our last little dust up.

Dear Mr. Morgan, Over the past few weeks, you have become one of America’s most outspoken gun grabbers. You have used a horrible tragedy as a platform to preach your anti-gun and anti-freedom agenda. You seem to believe that removing guns from the hands of law abiding, responsible citizens will curb gun crime in this country. You bring on guests, like Ted Nugent and Alex Jones, in an attempt to demonize and paint gun rights advocates and the liberty movement as crazy. When you bring on reasonable guests, like Larry Platt or Ben Shapiro, you insult them and refuse to...

They need a gun-rights supporter for their ritual shaming ceremony and since Shapiro embarrassed Morgan the other night, he was naturally a top choice. Alternate headline: "Man declines to serve as prop." [W]hen it came time to book the show, Morgan’s team refused to tell Shapiro what the format of the show would be. When Shapiro said that he expected balance --- a second one-on-one interview with Morgan — Morgan’s producers balked. They did insist strongly, however, that Shapiro appear on the show, where he would be “in for the entire show” and “have a huge part.” When Shapiro again...

UPDATE: Ben Shapiro will appear on Piers Morgan's show tonight. The CNN team has agreed to amend the format to included two segments of on-on-one debate between the host and the Breitbart News editor as well as a "town hall" forum. Though it is a primetime show, it is expected that Morgan will take a page out of the daytime TV playbook and make an emotional appeal to the audience by featuring victims of gun crimes and their families.

Public relations–wise, the gun-control movement could hardly have a worse champion than CNN’s Piers Morgan. He’s haughty, he’s self-righteous, and, worst of all, he’s foreign. For the Second Amendment freaks who see Barack Obama as suspiciously un-American, his government as potentially tyrannical, and themselves as heirs to the gun toters who shot their way to liberty at Lexington and Concord, what better foil than a modern-day gun confiscator who actually is English. For years, American conservatives have been calling American liberals wannabe Europeans. Now, with America witnessing its nastiest culture-war skirmish since Bill Clinton’s impeachment, the man helping to lead...

When he’s not solving America’s gun problem, CNN host Piers Morgan spends an extraordinary amount of time battling his critics (there are many) and defending his journalistic integrity. In the course of doing the former, he frequently damages the latter. Because random Twitter trolls, long-time adversaries, and politically disagreeable guests on Piers Morgan Tonight are dismissed as hacks, morons, and scumbags. When I recently criticized him for trivializing the gun-control debate by arguing with unserious people on a very serious topic, Morgan responded with the grace and dignity befitting a CNN journalist: he called me a “poisonous little twerp” on...

Piers Morgan challenged Newt Gingrich to provide examples of AR-15s being used in home protection. Obviously Newt has better things to do with his life (I don't) than provide Piers with an all-encompassing history of this gun saving lives. (Posted by: Religio-Political Talk) Piers then goes on to say there haven't been any. WhoooA buddy! I provide Piers with just two examples from the past few of weeks. I upload this only to provide evidence to the growing body of evidence that Piers Morgan is an ass! And that CNN is hurting its brand by trying to compete with MSNBC.

Live from New York! It’s King George the Third!!!!!!!!! Brought to you by CNN! CNN’s Piers Morgan, a British citizen, has been in the news lately for his views on gun control. He’s for it. He’s not so big on the U.S. Constitution. As he made clear in this exchange with Breitbart’s Ben Shapiro. At one point, Morgan picked up a booklet copy of the U.S. Constitution Shapiro had brought with him, saying: Morgan: “…you come in and brandish your little book…” Shapiro: “That’s the Constitution of the United States.” Later in the show was this exchange as Shapiro made...

Newt Gingrich on Thursday night interrogated the gun-grabbing Piers Morgan, pushing the CNN host as to what his real motives are. An aggressive Gingrich insisted, "So, why don't you share your real view?...Isn't your real view that you would ban pistols if you could?" [See video below. MP3 audio here.] The Republican also told the British anchor why the Founding Fathers were able to defeat "your army." Morgan swore that his concern was "the high-powered guns of any variety which can fire 30 or 40 or more rounds in less than a minute." He added, "...That would be my primary...

Twelve minutes long but worth watching in full, partly because Gingrich is in fine form and partly because it’s a nice demonstration of how futile and bad-faith the “debate” over guns is. Morgan’s point is straightforward: If gun-rights fans think it’s okay to ban machine guns because rapid-fire weapons are too dangerous for the public to own, why not ban assault rifles? Granted, automatics fire much more rapidly than semiautomatics, but you can still get off an awful lot of shots quickly with an AR-15 if you’re pulling the trigger fast enough. Gingrich comes at that logic from the other...

You've heard of the security state, in reference to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security efforts to keep us safe and keep watch on threats from abroad; and the welfare state, the national apparatus designed to provide health care and sustenance to those in need. Well, some among us are proposing the pistol-packing state, which would arm virtually everyone with a weapon to be whipped out to shoot the bad guys whenever and wherever they're encountered. At least that's what Wayne LaPierre, a spokesman for the National Rifle Association, and his ilk seem to be recommending as a way of...

On Thursday, the Associated Press reported that an off-duty armed officer at the Price Middle School in Atlanta disarmed a student who managed to shoot a 14-year-old boy in the neck. CNN's Piers Morgan, however, claimed in a tweet that the officer really didn't stop what could have been another Sandy Hook tragedy, Twitchy reported Friday. "REVEALED: Armed guard was NOT able to stop Atlanta school shooting," Morgan tweeted, linking to the AP report that says the boy was disarmed by an off-duty officer at the school. Twitchy said that while most "reasonable people" would "consider this an argument in...

Yesterday I heard a rumor that Piers Morgan was coming to a Houston area gun shop on Monday, February 4 to host his show. After some research googling, it now looks like it’s true. Tactical Firearms According to Piers Morgan’s Twitter account, he will be hosting his show from a Texas “gun store”, and will also be shooting (that should be funny by the way). I have yet to confirm, but rumor has it that the gun store he is referring to is none other than Tactical Firearms in Katy, TX (which is part of the Houston metro area). You...

CNN’s Piers Morgan is coming to Texas on Monday to broadcast from a gun store and shooting range. It’s been floated that the location will be in Katy near Houston. But CNN and Morgan are not saying publicly where the show is going to be broadcast from. Maybe Morgan is afraid someone will come shoot him? Morgan’s ratings challenged cable news show has been milking the Newtown shootings and the gun control debate to the hilt. He told folks on Twitter that he wanted to come to Texas to talk to Texans about their guns.

An armed guard successfully disarmed a 14-year-old shooter who had opened fire at an Atlanta middle school on Thursday. Thanks to the courageous off-duty school resource officer, only one student was shot and no one was killed. Yet CNN host Piers Morgan on Friday argued that the armed guard, an unidentified off-duty Atlanta police officer, “was NOT able to stop” the Atlanta school shooting, apparently because the teen shooter was able to shoot just one student before he was stopped. “REVEALED: Armed guard was NOT able to stop Atlanta school shooting,” Morgan posted via his official Twitter account. He then...
