Just thinking about the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy worked on an assembly line in a candy factory brings a smile to my face. Remembering the family spirit and wholesomeness of other shows like Father Knows Best, Leave It to Beaver, and The Donna Reed Show still warms my heart. These classic television programs made us laugh and cry without the sex and violence that is so commonly associated with television today. The other day I was watching a rerun of a popular TV show from the past. Suddenly it occurred to me that this was the most CONSERVATIVE TV show ever despite the fact that it wasn't specifically a political show. Okay, I'll give you the name: DRAGNET. NBC is touting the network's mid-season replacement series "The Book of Daniel" with language that implies it is a serious drama about Christian people and Christian faith.
