In yet one more pathetic, wrong-headed bit of sophistry from fat-headed know nothing, Jonathan Martin at Politico, we’re supposed to believe that his insipid blathering passed off as wisdom means the recent tragedy in Arizona is about former Governor Sarah Palin, not some delusional lunatic too confused to have any consistent political beliefs. If silly targets drawn on basically rhetorical maps for political purposes, or otherwise, had the capacity to remove contemptible bastards from our nation’s political discourse, a large X marks the spot over this moron Martin’s image would be a good place to start. Tragedy marks turning point...

In 2006, when Pope Benedict quoted history deemed unflattering to Islam, Christians around the Muslim world paid the price: anti-Christian riots ensued, churches were burned, and a nun was murdered in Somalia. That was then. Days ago, when a Christian in Egypt was accused of dating a Muslim woman, twenty-two Christian homes were set ablaze, to cries of “Allah Akbar.” Countless other examples of one group of Christians in the Muslim world being “punished” in response to other Christians exist. In fact, the recent carnage in Baghdad, wherein Islamists stormed a church during mass, killing over fifty Christian worshippers, was...

British soldiers and Afghan security forces have been involved in a dramatic push south into insurgent-held territory to move Taliban fighters away from the population centres of the southern Nad 'Ali district and establish new patrol bases. Commanding Officer of Combined Force Nad 'Ali, Lieutenant Colonel Frazer Lawrence, said:"There are three small population centres down on the southern patrol baseline. At the moment, the patrol bases are right in the population centres. If the insurgent attacks the patrol bases it means the local population could get caught up in the fighting. That is the last thing that we want to...

WASHINGTON, June 7, 2010 – Iraqi security forces killed seven al-Qaida in Iraq members and captured three others during June 5 security operations in northern Iraq. In east Mosul, Iraqi forces accompanied by U.S. advisors interdicted a vehicle to arrest a suspected senior al-Qaida in Iraq leader believed responsible for recruiting foreign fighters and organizing terrorist operations in southern Mosul. As the security team approached the vehicle, the warranted man and his passengers presented a threat to the security forces, which then fired and killed three men, including the wanted al-Qaida leader. Also on June 5, Iraqi forces killed four...

Coalition efforts included Combined Task Force 150, which conducted maritime security operations -- such as the deterrence of drug smuggling and weapons trafficking. Terrorists 'use Google maps to hit UK troops' By Thomas Harding in Basra Last Updated: 2:06am GMT 13/01/2007 Terrorists attacking British bases in Basra are using aerial footage displayed by the Google Earth internet tool to pinpoint their attacks, say Army intelligence sources. Documents seized during raids on the homes of insurgents last week uncovered print-outs from photographs taken from Google. The satellite photographs show in detail the buildings inside the bases and vulnerable areas such as tented accommodation, lavatory blocks and where lightly armoured Land Rovers are parked. Written on the back of one set of photographs taken of...

WASHINGTON – It was among the best sushi restaurants in Baltimore, but something was seriously wrong about Kawasaki's. While the owners showcased their finery in the dining room, the illegal immigrants who worked there were paid less than $2 an hour and lived in garbage-filled rooms above the restaurant, where they had no clean water. “Downstairs, the restaurant looked beautiful. Upstairs, it was filthy,” said Julie L. Myers, assistant secretary for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. So federal authorities did something that has been almost unheard of in recent years: They filed criminal charges against the owners of the large...

LOS ANGELES Three members of a Hispanic gang were sentenced Monday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for using murder and other violent acts to intimidate blacks in their neighborhood. Federal prosecutors had alleged Gilbert Saldana, Alejandro Martinez and Fernando Cazares targeted blacks in the largely Hispanic community of Highland Park, east of downtown Los Angeles. They were found guilty of conspiring to use violence, including the shooting deaths of two black men in 1999 and 2000. "These were horrific offenses that have had far-reaching consequences," U.S. District Judge Percy Anderson said during sentencing. Each defendant received...

IN PREVIOUS United States election campaigns, candidates sought to win over relatively large groups of voters - MPV-driving "soccer moms" in 1996, or blue-collar "NASCAR dads" in 2004, to use the terms coined by political insiders. But now, thanks to a state-of-the-art marketing technique called microtargeting, 2006 could turn out to be the year of the snowmobile owner, the Forbes magazine reader, or the shopper who patronises a particular store. Republicans and Democrats have compiled hundreds of data points, from voting history to church membership to TV viewing habits, to create the most detailed profiles ever of each and every voter...

The Governor has signed legislation targeting one side of the political debate, but not and the other and a bill that is designed to publicly shame pharmacists that are pro-life. The Governor will never win any awards for protecting innocent Human Life. Everyone knew that he was with the exception of possibly parental notification zealously pro-abortion. His COS Susan Kennedy was the chief political operative for the California Abortion Lobby. In his kowtowing to the extreme pro-abortion agenda of the Democrats in the legislature he has signed three bills under the banner of benefiting "women's health" that really target political...

US Cracks Europe GPS Satellite Codes Brussels (UPI) Jul 11, 2006 U.S. scientists have reportedly cracked the European Union's secret satellite navigation codes. The codes, to be used by the EU's Galileo satellite system, casts doubt the $4.2 billion project will pay for itself through commercial fees, The London Telegraph reported Tuesday. Cornell University Professor Mark Psiaki said he and colleagues cracked the coded data being beamed to Earth by a prototype orbiting satellite. That, The Telegraph said, is potentially devastating for the EU, which wants to charge high-tech firms license fees to access that data, before they can make...

FORWARD OPERATING BASE LOYALTY, Iraq, June 26, 2006 – As the nature of the war on terror in Iraq has changed, so have the targets sought by coalition and Iraqi forces. When Operation Iraqi Freedom began, typical targets were military formations and vehicles of the former Iraqi army, Republican Guard formations, and state-sponsored terrorists. After Saddam Hussein fell, common targets became Saddamist loyalists and foreign fighters. Since then, Iraq has become a battleground of ideas, as extremists have come to the country to challenge the coalition, and a homegrown insurgency has arisen. Coalition forces are not targeting military hardware, but...

"Carbon dioxide... we call it life," TV ads sayBy Deborah Zabarenko Wed May 17, 6:58 PM ET WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A little girl blows away dandelion fluff as an announcer says, "Carbon dioxide: they call it pollution; we call it life," in an advertisement targeting global warming "alarmists," especially Al Gore. The television ads, screened for the press on Wednesday and set to air in 14 U.S. cities starting on Thursday, are part of a campaign by the conservative Competitive Enterprise Institute to counter a media spotlight on threats posed by worldwide climate change. The spots are timed to precede...

Fans of U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy have long argued that he has fought the good fight ... But today, he is defending the indefensible: special interest legislation, tucked into a Coast Guard authorization bill, that would give Gov. Mitt Romney the power to veto the proposed Cape Wind energy project, even though it would be in federal waters. The project... more than five miles offshore of Cape Cod. The equivalent of burning 113 million barrels of oil per year. Proponents of Cape Wind say it is an important source of alternative, renewable energy, and it has the backing of such...
