The sun is setting on Katie Couric’s daytime talk show. The newswoman and ABC have pulled the plug on her daily talk show, “Katie,” which will not return for a third season next year. “While production will continue on 'Katie' through June 2014, we've mutually agreed that there will not be a third season of the show,” reps for Couric and the show’s distributor ABC Domestic Television said in a joint statement.

On his radio show Thursday night, conservative talker Mark Levin scorched his former radio competitor Michael Savage for attacking fellow conservative talkers. I get a number of podcasts, and for some reason, the bitrates are getting ridiculous. The files are so huge, they frequently don't download completely. Peter Boyles has been sending out his podcasts at 96kbps for years. Now they are 128kbps. Brian Sussman: 128kbps John Batchelor: 256kbps!!! I've tried e-mailing the hosts and others associated with their shows. No response. There's no reason for a talk show to use a bitrate higher than 32kbps!

OWN has pulled the plug on Rosie O’Donnell's five-month old talk show. The daily show will tape its final episode on Tuesday, March 20 to air on Friday, March 30 in its 7 p.m. time slot. Sharpton said he would not appear on a panel discussing the "State of Black-Jewish Relations: Twenty Years After Crown Heights" because it would "pain" Norman Rosenbaum, whose brother Yankel was stabbed to death during four days of rioting.
