I feel your carpooling pain. Two more weeks here; then college son’s summer job is done. Then one week til we take him back. Sigh. That will be depressing :(

Thanks for the thread and the headline recap.
I’m still reeling from an e-mail I received this morning. A very good friend of mine finally lost her battle with ovarian cancer. It’s amazing that after all these years and billions of dollars spent on research, that there has been very little progress on combating most forms of cancer.
Oh, how sad! Prayers are up. For so long reports have claimed a cure is right around the corner.
Jim probably shops with a hat and a wig..maybe Rose gets them for him!!

Thanks. I have issues with her and her daughter but I put them aside. No one deserves cancer...
So sorry, RWI to hear of the loss of your friend. And Greg sorry to hear of your family member facing the fight right now. It doesn’t seem like much progress on cancer has been made, but with alot of particular types survival rates are increasing...but others (like ovarian) not so much.
It’s heartbreaking. My next door neighbor is fighting breast cancer for 2nd time. She had to quit her chemo for a couple weeks. Her hands & feet were going numb. I hadn’t realized she was sick again, til I saw her outside (during the 90 degree weather)...she was t wearing her wig. It was Heartwrenching.
It really is heartbreaking to watch cancer patients go through chemo. It does make you wonder how much of it is beneficial in the end.
