I’m working with the 1st Battalion 1st Marine Regiment to get every one of their soldiers a letter of support from home. This is where you, my readers, come in to the picture; I need you to write these men and women, and then spread the word about the project to everyone you can. We need about 1000 emails in order to get one to every Marine. Please put letters from home in the subject line. Update: The address I’ve set up for project Letters From Home is letters@thinking-right.com

3rd Platoon gobbles up a gift from home RAWAH, Iraq — One day last month in San Diego, a good-hearted woman whose brother-in-law is a Marine in Iraq had an idea to support the troops downrange. Her brother-in-law, 1st Lt. Josef H. Wiese, 24, of Steilacoom, Wash., is a platoon commander whose Marines man a patrol base in Rawah, a debris-strewn city in western Anbar province. Now, what would be a really helpful thing to send to Joe and all those tireless young Marines in the searing Mesopotamian heat? Tuna. Yes, that would be the thing. Great for snacks, it...

To the moonbats, it was like screeching, worn down, brake drums, or hearing that the surge is working. BELOW LEFT: Doctor Raoul asking the moonbats to sign the Al Queda Peace Accord and dedicate themselves to committing suicide if it fails. BELOW RIGHT: Kristinn repeatedly bring home the point that "The Surge IS Working". Both pointed out the 'quackers' lies over the years. Lurker Bill is in back ground while our...

The Fresno Chapter of Free Republic braved the heat to stand toe to toe with Peace Fresno tonight. The heat was bearable due to a slight breeze that brought the air temp down to about 100 degrees. Even so, it still felt pretty hot out there at Blackstone and Shaw. The peaceniks of Peace Fresno set up across the street from us. They had a new sign out this evening. It was a series of cards that spelled out IMPEACH on it. They started packing up a few minutes after 6 and were gone by 6:30. I wonder if Michael...

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney said Wednesday that he will donate $25,000 to seven organizations dedicated to supporting troops, and he urged the public to engage in a "surge of support" for those on the battlefield. "There's a lot of talk about supporting our troops," he told the employees of Cirtronics. "Let's have a surge of support while there's such a surge of sacrifice going on in our country." Romney's website now lists links to the seven organizations so people can donate if they want.
