The experimental drug J147 is something of a modern elixir of life; it's been shown to treat Alzheimer's disease and reverse aging in mice and is almost ready for clinical trials in humans. Now, Salk scientists have solved the puzzle of what, exactly, J147 does. In a paper published January 7, 2018, in the journal Aging Cell, they report that the drug binds to a protein found in mitochondria, the energy-generating powerhouses of cells. In turn, they showed, it makes aging cells, mice and flies appear more youthful. "This really glues together everything we know about J147 in terms of...

She was at a friend's house, visiting for a few days. She has had Alzheimer's for over 6 years. She has not had any health problems other than that, but she is over 80. Today she had the classic symptoms of stroke, paralysis and drooping on one side, slurred speech, confusion, so her friend called paramedics and she is now at a good hospital. MRI has confirmed stroke. All her symptoms have gone, and she doesn't even remember why she is in the hospital or that she had a stroke. The doctors are still running tests. She is being given...

Between Jan. 23 and 27, 2017, there were reports that Syrian president Bashar Al Assad had suffered a stroke and had to be hospitalized. The usually pro-Assad British newspaper The Independent claimed that the Syrian president was suffering serious psychological strain. Allegations of a president’s poor health take on extra significance in a Russian proxy state. During the Cold War, the Soviets frequently cited allied leaders’ purported medical and psychological problems when launching military interventions — takeovers, essentially — in the countries of the supposedly-ailing heads of state.

My wife was not feeling at all well this morning as she accompanied me at a podiatrist's appointment at the V.A. When we got home her condition worsened. She could barely see, had a pounding headache and was very dizzy. So we drove to the emergency room of a close-by hospital, where they did numerous tests. She is in the midst of an ongoing stroke. Please pray for her.

Scientists have long known that stress can influence your heart health, but exactly how this relationship takes place has been something of a mystery -- until now. Activity in the amygdala, a region of the brain associated with fear and stress, can predict your risk for heart disease and stroke, according to a study published in the journal The Lancet on Wednesday.

Shares of the company jumped 22 percent to 3.45 pence per share in morning trade on Monday on the London Stock Exchange. ReNueron's trial adds to a small but growing number of studies being conducted by a few publicly listed companies around the world that are testing stem cell therapies in various indications. Hillary Clinton‘s health is in question yet again as a leaked email reveals she had her campaign van secretly outfitted with a bed! Clinton has been caught stumbling, staggering, and collapsing her way throughout the campaign, and the new leak suggests she’s tried to find respite behind the scenes. According to staff emails from April 2015, her “luxurious” van is equipped with “top amenities,” including a bed. In addition to the bed, the van allegedly contains “a state-of-the-art automated external defibrillator (AED), a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia and shocks a heart back to its...

We have been waiting patiently, for over two years, for a moment, a very specific moment, when it was possible to confirm previous suspicions. Today is that day. What outlines below is clear and convincing evidence the 2012 health event of Hillary Clinton resulted in a permanent compromise to Hillary Clinton’s vision. What is outlined below is why some seemingly innocuous notations can reconcile. We’ll also explain why the Clinton team cannot reveal the reality. Back in October of 2012 the Hillary Clinton health story began around a cold, which became a flu, which became a slip and fall, which...

Full Title: ‘Hillary’s Pickle’ trends as her pickle jar stunt backfires – it didn’t exactly prove what she wanted it to Hillary Clinton wants everyone to know that her health is just fine. With the help of Hollywood friend Jimmy Kimmel, the Democrat presidential hopeful pulled a mind-numbingly stupid stunt Monday night to poke fun at growing rumors surrounding Hillary’s precarious health. “Can you open this jar of pickles?” Kimmel asked as he “surprised” her with a jar. “This has not been tampered with,” he added. Yeah, right. In her typical highly exaggerated, and in no-way-authentic style, Hillary laughed wildly...
