Democratic U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez led Republican rival Bob Hugin by 15 percentage points among likely voters in a poll released a day before New Jersey voters go to the polls. Menendez was ahead of Hugin, a former Celgene Corp. executive, 55 percent to 40 percent in a Quinnipiac University poll released Monday. It was the second straight survey to give him a double-digit lead after several polls showed a tight race. A Stockton University poll released Friday had Menendez ahead, 51 percent to 39 percent. Democrat Andrew Gillum has a 5-point lead over Ron Desantis (R) in the upcoming Florida gubernatorial election, according to a poll released Tuesday. The NBC/Marist Poll found that 48 percent of likely voters surveyed said they would vote for Gillum if the election were held today, while 43 percent said they'd support DeSantis. Seven percent of those surveyed said they remain undecided. Results are expectedly skewed based on party affiliation, with 90 percent of Democrats backing Gillum and 86 percent voicing support for DeSantis.

Ted Cruz is struggling to win over black voters according to a new poll, that despite that weakness shows the Republican senator with a healthy nine-point lead over Democrat Beto O'Rourke. Cruz is getting support from just three percent of likely black voters, but is winning 45 percent of likely Hispanic voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday.

NASHVILLE — A new CNN poll puts Democrat Phil Bredesen with a 50-45 percent lead over Republican Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee's U.S. Senate race. The SSRS survey of 723 likely voters, conducted Sept. 11-15, has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.3 percent.

The only protest during the national anthem Thursday night was half a protest. Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett, who stayed in the locker room for the anthem during the preseason, walked in front of the bench during most of Boyz II Men’s rendition. A newly released poll by Quinnipiac University finds the governor's race between Ron DeSantis and Andrew Gillum virtually tied, with Tallahassee Mayor Gillum supported by 50 percent of likely voters and U.S. Rep.
