Last summer at a party on Long Island, the largely Manhattan crowd was surprised, but polite, when Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump were among the guests. (snip) Will that happen this year? For Ivanka and Jared, the most visible and social Trumpists, life is mostly like a summer evening out at Jay Gatsby’s. But a lot has happened since last year, from Charlottesville to the internment at the border of innocents, that tries the soul. It’s engendered a raging debate between establishment Democrats who caution not to go against anyone in Trump land in a Trump-like way (Nancy Pelosi, David...

The play-by-play announcer said Westbrook was 'out of his cotton-picking mind' The Oklahoma City Thunder suspended play-by-play announcer Brian Davis for one game following his racially insensitive comment about Thunder star Russell Westbrook. During the Thunder's final regular-season game on Wednesday night, Davis said that Westbrook was "out of his cotton-picking mind" following a nifty assist by the guard.

Dear Sir, ,P.I have a very complicated benefits question. Many years ago, I married a widow who had an 18 year old daughter. After the wedding, my father, a widower, came to visit a number of times, and he fell in love with my step daughter. My father eventually married her without my authorization. As a result my step-daughter became my step mother and my father became my son in law. My father's wife (also my step daughter) and my step-mother, gave birth to a son who is my grandchild because I am the husband of my step daughter's mother....

Q drop #29 Oct 31 2017 23:13:10 Anonymous ID: grTMpzrL 147452214 Some things must remain classified to the very end. NK is not being run by Kim, he’s an actor in the play. Who is the director? The truth would sound so outrageous most Americans would riot, revolt, reject, etc. The pedo networks are being dismantled. The child abductions for satanic rituals (ie Haiti and other 3rd world countries) are paused (not terminated until players in custody). We pray every single day for God’s guidance and direction as we are truly up against pure evil.

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. (Hardly seems worth it.) If you passed gas consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb. (Now that's more like it!) The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out of the body to squirt blood 30 feet. (O.M.G.!) A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes. (O.M.G.!!!) A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy) (I'm still not...

Question Why can't the human body multi-task? If you turn your right foot and move it slowly in a clockwise circle. So you're going round in a circle with your foot. Then writing a number 6 with the same hand that you're moving your foot on a piece of paper. But the better way to show this actually is to take your hand on the same side of your body as you're moving your foot. Now, try and make that move in a circle in the opposite direction to your foot. The foot follows the hand. Why does that happen?...

I am so tired of listening to liberals and weak Republicans arguing about a wall along our southern border that I want to scream. However, at this late date, I’m beginning to see their point. It IS expensive. It CAN be breached with a tall enough ladder. It CAN have holes cut in it. I finally have a cheap, foolproof, workable solution. Why don’t we just allocate a ½ mile wide strip as “No Man’s Land” and plant land mines in it. That would be simple, cheap, fast, and very effective. Plus, we would be notified every time one of...

Veteran reporter Bob Woodward sent a message directed to President Trump late Saturday: "The media is not fake news." "The effort today to get this best obtainable version of the truth is largely made in good faith," Woodward said during remarks at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. "Mr. President, the media is not fake news." Woodward said during his speech that any president and his administration is "clearly entitled to the most serious reporting efforts possible." "We need to understand, to listen, to dig — obviously our reporting needs to get both facts and tone right," he said. "The...

God's man on the diamond? The sports fan in me says there’s no way. Tim Tebow hasn’t played baseball since high school, and that was 11 years ago. The guy is a very impressive physical/athletic specimen, but the skill and timing required to hit a ball coming at you at 97 miles per hour is not something you can just put aside for more than a decade and then pick up again because you’re big and strong. That’s what the sports fan in me says. I very much appreciate Tebow’s commitment to his faith and his willingness to speak of...

I was born on a USAF base (Pepperrell AFB St. John's NFLD Canada) and of course my father was a US citizen at the time. He was actually born in Kentucky. We moved to Myrtle Beach AFB when I was around six months old. I barely remember when I was very young, maybe around five or six having to perform some kind of ritual declaring my allegiance to the US. I have some form declaring my citizenship at that date. I had to get it out a few weeks ago when my son joined the NC National Guard to verify...

The Minnesota Senate will keep its rule forbidding members from looking at one another during floor debate and will continue to ban everyone from having drinks on the Senate floor. The issues arose Monday during the passage of the rules to govern the Senate. On a 15-44 vote, the Senate decided to keep its current requirement that all speakers must gaze at the Senate president. "I find this particular rule of the Senate, dare I say, antiquated," said Sen. Warren Limmer, R-Maple Grove. But Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk, DFL-Cook, disagreed. When you can look at the senator speaking, he...

So I'm watching a rerun of the Big Bang Theory, one of the first with the Bernadette character. She is wearing a crucifix around her neck. Then I caught a more recent episode. No crucifix. It has been replaced by some sort of pendant. I don't watch the Big Bang Theory very often, but that did strike me as curious.

For the second year in a row, the Michigan Senate has approved a resolution supporting Sept. 19 as “International Talk Like a Pirate Day.” Fiscal Policy Director Michael LaFaive wrote about this very issue last year, noting that such meaningless resolutions are the best evidence yet that Michigan should have a part-time Legislature. These resolutions hold no force of law, but sometimes such unnecessary and silly measures do propose ensconcing real-live laws in the state's statute books. For example, in March Sens. Rebekah Warren, D-Ann Arbor, and Howard Walker, R-Traverse City, (among others) introduced a bill that would mandate that...

Ahoy, mateys! Aye...it be that day once more. The day when ye can hoist the Jolly Roger and set sail for adventure (or mystify your co-workers & friends by how you are speaking). September 19th is Talk Like A Pirate Day. Given the seriousness of all the crap going on around us, it's nice...even for a little bit...to be silly and have a little fun.

(Vatican Radio) There is an urgent need to promote a dialogue of life with Muslims to discourage violence against Christians on the African continent, said Pope Francis Saturday in his address to the Bishops of Cameroon at the conclusion of their Ad Limina pilgrimage to the Holy See. Cameroon lies in west central Africa and is home to an estimated 4.25 million Catholics, or 26% of the population, spread throughout 24 Dioceses. It shares a border with Nigeria to the West and Chad and the Central African Republic to the east – a region that is experiencing increasing insecurity because...
